I am trying to track down this article on TSNA levels and it is not coming up in LexisNexis.
Can anyone who has access to journal articles PM it to me?
"Decreased levels of tobacco-specific N-nitrosamines in moist snuff on the Swedish market"
by Bengt-Göran Österdahl, Christer Jansson, and Alexandre Paccou
in J. Agric. Food Chem., 52 (16), 5085 -5088, 2004
I know it is a topic that has been discussed a lot but it seems there was a significant drop in TSNA levels according to the abstract and I am interested to see how the various manufacturers compare.
"In the survey in 2001, all samples except for one were produced by Swedish Match (n = 14), which is the dominating manufacturer on the Swedish snuff market. In the survey in 2002, samples from both Swedish Match (n = 7) and seven smaller manufacturers (n = 20) were analyzed. Total TSNA levels of between 0.15 and 3.0 μg/g wet weight were found. In the survey in 2001 and 2002, the mean level of the total TSNA content in moist snuff was 1.1 μg/g (n = 14) and 1.0 μg/g (n = 27), respectively."
Thanks
K
