    How does nicotine effect you?

I think that it gives me a little Kick, that's what I call a Nic-Kick.

Some of my friends tell me that it mellows them out, calms their nerves.

    How about you?

When I wake up and put few pouches or 2-3ml of loose snus under my lip, it takes maby a minute to take effect. Then a deep breath and the calmness and relaxation kicks in. Excellent feeling, mornings are the best. Then during the day I usually put snus about once in an hour so that doesn't give much of a kick. But if I take a few hours brake of snus the feeling is there, not as strong as in the morning but still pretty good stuff

I don't really like the so-called nic-kick. To me it feels like it zaps all my energy out of me.
But for now its either snus or smoking and smoking kills my lung capacity instantly (I feel THAT a lot) and I feel less energy that much longer.
        Plus your mouth reeks.

I use to smoke. I will never go back to it. Snus has to be safer, And I enjoy it more.

Nicotine mainly gives me a relaxed feeling sometimes too much and I get tired.

This morning I tried skruf stark it nearly put me back to sleep it was so powerful. I would have to say its on par with Copenhagen, Skoal and the likes.

I'd say that nicotine sharpens the mind, so to speak, making it good to have a big ol' snus-up when I'm coding / doing my assignments. It stops the mind wandering so much, I find.

[edit] Thinking about it, that actually brings me to another advantage of snus over cigarettes - it's hands free! Why do something that helps you concentrate if it's all the while providing a distraction? Madness!

At this point nicotine makes me feel good. Snus in particular makes my upper chest feel warm and happy for some strange reason. Nicotine also helps me chill and if I go through withdrawl, in less than 2 or 3 hours I am edgy, irritable, and have a short fuse. I tend to go into temper tantrums and bark at people.

Snus never makes me tired. Like the others, I use when studying principally because it keeps me focused. It's also nice that it's hands-free, much unlike smoking. I always found that to be a huge shortcoming of smoking while studying. A pris in the morning with my coffee wakes me up properly also.

It sometimes causes nausea (with degusting belch...) during the first 5 minutes after having the pouch in my mooth, and then, it's great.

                        Any similar feelings ?

                          Try white portion.

I wouldn't say nicotine makes me tired, just relaxed. It's easier to fall asleep when you're relaxed.

I only take Metropol Licorice, Mocca Mint white, Wise Citrus, and Catch dry mini Licorice and Eucalyptus.
Bad effects tends to decrease day after day.
