No nausea here, but I do get a sour stomach when I've had a portion pouch in too long. That's my signal that it's time to take it out. Can anyone explain why that never happens with loose snus? Curious...

I have noticed I get a greasy sweat on my face if I use certain brands of large snus. I also sometimes have difficulty sleeping (If I'm not very tired) if I use a pouch just before bed.

Nicotine helps control the symptoms of ulcerative colitis, for me. Years ago when I quit cigs I developed this debilitating condition. After years of heavy meds and despair, I started smoking while working abroad for a month. Fast relief of colitis! I have smoked since, but for over a year now using a nicotine patch, mostly because here in Canada it is virtually impossible to smoke in public places, and with the climate, stepping outdoors to smoke is scary. Nicotine makes me "go" in the morning, meaning that the "risk" of having to "go" while outside is reduced, stops the inflammation of the bowel, and makes things there work more or less normally. I am new to snus but am hoping it gives enough nicotine in an easy format to help.

Darkwing, it is cool to hear that someone truly benefits from the effects of nicotine! And Swedish Snus may be the safest delivery vehicle out there!

For me, nicotine is just plain relaxing. Sometimes, if I am sitting down and watching a movie with a pris of loose N&J, I will get what feels like 'waves of calm' through my body. It is really enjoyable

Nicotine for me has a really good effect.

When I wake up in the morning I literally can't balance. I'm like the most clumsy person in the world and find it especially difficult to concentrate (or even begin) one task.

As soon as I put my first prila in (which is usually directly following breakfast -- while in the shower), my brain starts to somehow obey my commands and I find it incredibly easy to focus on anything I desire, whilst becoming far more spatially perceptive.

As a bit of a side note here -- it also makes me feel much more confident, like I could do pretty much anything so long as it is physically achievable.

Defiantly a great aid when doing any type of intellectual work and a real boost when it comes to socializing.

                      Peace.

Nicotine is nice. Since I can't drink much caffeine anymore, I use a pris to help me wake up in the morning. It's best not to talk to me until I've had my first snus of the day.

But at the same time, it also helps me to relax and stay calm. I snus a lot when I'm just sitting around the house reading or watching movies or television.

It's also a big help when I'm writing stories or poems or songs. The words just flow when the nicotine is in my veins. I always used to smoke a ton when I'd be writing, but snus is much better for my purposes because I have both hands available to type with.

Snus is also great for when I'm at school. I can get my fix in class and nobody is the wiser.

I dont theink I have ever thought about what nicotine does or does'nt do for me. I have smoked for 30 years, and in my mind I crave smoke, and dont relate it to nicotine. I can say I dont have a strong erge to smoke when I snus, but I do, want to smoke all the last of my black and mild stash. I like the Accoutrement's that go with smoking, the lighter, ash tray, with fine cigars there are all kinds of toys. so I will have other issues to deal with when I do stop smoking,

Nicotine is great. It makes my brain awake. I wake up feeling like crap but a cup of strong coffee, a fat pris of snus, and a booster pack of korean ginseng, siberian ginseng, ginko, phyto-vitamin and co-Q10, and holy crap - the day had just better watch out, let's say that. As a side effect, my days tend to be about 30 hours long instead of 24, so "morning" tends to run around the clock  Thankfully, my job is generally such that I can get my work done at any time of day, and during the night my labs are beautifully empty. There's nothing quite like having the place to yourself. 8)

                              Nicotine Love

I like the rest of you wake to a snus or take out the sleep snus and put in the newbie. I love nicotine it loves me back, it is always there, it shares, it kisses the inside of my upper lip when I'm down. I find no flaw in her, she has always treated me right. Not one day in twenty years have I strayed from her. Within hours I miss her, only death can come between us. Snusburgh the poet
