Does anybody else get emotional when they use snus?

    Don't laugh!

But does anyone else get emotional for the first half an hour or so after putting in a portion? For example, if i'm happy, the snus will make me almost in tears of happiness for no apparent reason! or if i'm feeling a bit depressed, it can make this a lot worse, and i become extremely scared for no reason.
This effect seems to be stronger if i haven't snused in a while (i don't smoke) or if i'm using a sterk portion.

Anybody else had a similar experience?

I don't get emotional but I do get a slight boost in my mood. I could be that you body is just not used to the nicotine. The longer you use it the less snus should trigger emotions.

Is snus the first tobacco product you have used?

What others have said. I may get happier, I always get calmer, but I have NEVER had any negative reactions to snus

Sedative effect for me as well. If I use one of the starks, I actually want to go to sleep.

I get edgy if I don't have my normal dose. Relaxing would be the closest thing to an emotional reaction I have had, nothing like you describe. Under your circumstances, i think I would be careful when I consumed.

I'd like to act cool and collected, but just so you don't feel alone, yes, sometimes I do get emotional.

It's very strange, for me nicotines effects are highly contextual. If I want a boost I get a boost, sometimes I put in a "stress pack" when I feel agitated, and it makes it worse. Unlike most people here is seems I use it almost entirely for stimulation rather than stress release.

When I'm "driven" to put in a portion, most of the time it was a good idea, but sometimes I start to feel worse and take it out in 10 minutes.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Snus is pure stimulant for me. For some reason a few drags on a cigarete is relaxing, probably just the breathing. Too much nicotine and my anxiety gets going.
For me emotional comes when I use caffeine. I stay away from it for the most part. I once accidentally had a bunch of tea that I thought was herbal but was really black tea. My mood would flip with each song that came on the radio. Laughin, crying, I was a mess. So yes, stimulants can produce this effect.
As always, if anyone has any qustions about anxiety, drugs, etc. you can PM me or find me through www.anxietymentor.com

Well, I get super excited when I'm going to have one. I'm still new so it's sort of a "magical flavor journey", as they say. I've tried lots of 'em because my man is currently on the move to find the ones he wants to make part of his repertoire.
K, back to emotions. I feel super calm and nothing really bothers me at all. I love it for that reason because I can be pretty moody.

Nicotine is not a stimulant for me. It definitely calms me down. I start to get anxious when i haven't had nicotine for awhile.

I kind of am anxious right now, but I didnt get much sleep last night, and snusing is making me super tired and I'm still at work. :/

Really, snusing helps keep me slightly awake when I am really tired. Though I do not crave as much snus when I have not had an adequate amount of sleep.
