        Generic Multivitamin
        Fish oil/Omega 3 - 1000 mg
        B12 - 1000 mcg time released
        C - 500 mg
        Iron - 28 mg
        Potassium - 595 mg
        L Theanine - 3 capsules a day
        Turmeric - spoonful a day

Just started this full deal today going to see how it works out. As some of you know I have UC/Chrohn's. So all of this is to help with that. Either for my nutritional deficiencies or for the anti inflammatory benefits (Turmeric and Fish Oil). The only one that is none related is the L Theanine which I take for stress.
        good ones Eric.

Don't forget to take something for your immune system as well, as you have Chron's that's your main issue to treat (basically your immune system is attacking your body instead of helping it).

I take a simple multi vitamin every day:

          1 pill:.............................RDI

          Vitamin A 400 μg 50
          Vitamin B1 3,3 mg 300
          Vitamin B2 4,2 mg 300
          Niacin 16 mg 100
          Pantotensyra 12 mg 200
          Vitamin B6 2,8 mg 200
          Vitamin B12 3 μg 120
          Biotin 125 μg 250
          Folsyra 100 μg 200
          Vitamin C 80 mg 100
          Vitamin D 5 μg 100
          Vitamin E 6 mg 50
          Jod 150 μg 100
          Inositol 2,5 mg **
          Kalcium 125 mg 16
          Krom 40 μg 100
          Magnesium 75 mg 20
          Mangan 1 mg 50
          Selen 55 μg 100
          Zink 10 mg 100
          Alfa-Liponsyra 5 mg **
          Lycopen 250 μg **

It's in Swedish but what the hell!

The pills smell like ass but I figure that's a good thing with vitamins since it shows that they are not incredibly synthetic.

I practice qigong meditation for 15 minutes twice daily, and I eat a diet low in fat, high in fibre with lots of wholegrains, pretty much no red meat. Very little sugar, sweets, crisps, chocolate. I'm enjoying creating new and healthy meals, thinking I might try a tofu stir fry soon. I'm pretty much a veggie, not by any conscious or moral or even health choice, it just happened - I listened to my body.

(But I do take an all-in-one multivit, just to make sure lol.)

                  Good stuff E!
                  I currently take:

Mega EFA (Omega-3 EPA & DHA){purified fish oil) X3 per day I leave it in the fridge and take it at night so I don't have fish burps all day...works great!
Evening Primrose Oil X1 per week
                  Multi-Vitamin X1 per day
                  Advan C(vitamin C X Calcium) X1 per day
Green Foods Complex(what grass, barley grass, blue green algae, chlorella, spirulina) X3 per day
                  Rosavin Plus*(Siberian rhodiola) 1-3Xday
                  SAM-e X1 per day

*I highly recommend this to anyone, rhodiola is a truly amazing supplement with so many benefits...the web is full of info on it....but this stuff works wonders.

I know this is an old thread, but I'll add.

I take either Men's One a Day Multivitamin or Equate as they are both similar in composition. The best Multivitamin to take is the one that you can literally crush easily in your hand. If it dusts/breaks easily in your hand, it will digest easily and absorb more quickly than say GNC Mega Men's vitamins which are hard like chalk. I also take a Ester-C Vitamin C supplement. This combo has basically given me a good resistance to illness as I haven't gotten sick in years since taking the combo.

Yeah, I've started taking vitamin C daily as well together with my usual multi vitamin (men). The vitamin C is an effervescent tablet you pop in to a glass of water, and contains 1000 mg (1250% recommended daily intake - but it's OK since you pee out the excess). Haven't got sick in a while either, and I've had a lot of crazy stomach flues and shit going around at home. My sister has been sick like 4-5 times in the last 4 months, while I haven't been sick once. Either it's luck or those vitamin pills are a miracle!

Wow you must be healthy as shit.

I need to get my BP down, i've been at 150/90 for a year and so my dr gave me some beta blockers and says I pretty much need to try and emulate your diet. It's just hard when you're not used to cooking like that. Someday though!

I have been taking 5000 iu of vit d because of a clinical deficiency and I live in a non-sun state. After six months it put me in normal levels but I should still be a little higher. There might be some serious truth that you need 10-20 minutes of sun a day to keep healthy.

Take 2 500mg of vitamin c to keep my sinuses dry and a Red krill pill but not sure if that is having any effect.
Really need to go get checked again for cholesterol.

Were there not some studies that show a increase in cancer or kidney damage from overloading on vitamins?? That streak of laser piss I would get when I popped one of those mega vitamin pills always scared me.

I work in an office but still walk for no less than1 hour each day in the sun on ym lunch break, yet I still managed to get Vitamin D deficciency. I have to take the 500IU ones too Vitamin D levels being low is actually really bad so make sure you take those supplements religiously.

As for multivitamis, I personally take GNC's sport vitamin pack. BUT, I will have you note that there isn't much evidence that vitamins are necessary or actually do aynthing to help improve your health (unless you were actually deficient in something). Everything I have read says that if you are not malnourished and eat even marginally healthy meals than you should be getting way more than enough vitamins, so no need to take supplements. Vitamin D is the big one that poeple are low on because we need sun to help synthesize it.

But for the most part I don't think there is much evidence that vitamins do anything.

                                Re: Fish oil pills

Fish/krill oil on the other hand has been clinically proven to help reduce cholesterol, help your joints etc. You can knock off about 30% by taking the fish extract pills, those things really work even if you don't feel like they are. Omega 3's are great for your heart too, lots of studies behind that.
