    Loose Question

    I'm a little confused about loose. I find that the original portions irritate my gums sometimes (White is worse) and have read that loose doesn't do this as much but then the Swedish Match website says that loose users are more prone to Gingival recession than portion users? The idea of a wad of General loose under my lip is quite appealing but I don't want to get on to loose if it's going to be worse for me?

    I dunno but I think you're confusing the two things.
    Namely:
    * an irritating, uncomfortable feeling
    * gingival recess

    The one doesn't necessarily imply the other.

    I know the "feeling" of pouches but I don't find it uncomfortable and as for recess, I just brush my teeth well, floss, use mouthwash and smile in the mirror to check my pearly whites :lol:

      I've gotten that irritating, uncomfortable feeling before after too many white portions in a day. Honestly, all I do is snus on the other side of my mouth for a while and after an hour or two, the uncomfortable feeling is gone. Nothing to worry about.

      However, with regular portions I haven't noticed anything at all, save for a mild dryness of the gum and inside of the lip in the area where the snus was placed. That dryness goes away in almost no time at all and isn't uncomfortable at all. It just feels a bit odd.

      Craig de Tering is right. Just practice proper dental hygiene and you'll be fine.
