Cancer rate comparison information for snus vs. other

Do you know where I can find some information and charts regarding the types of cancer and rates of cancer caused by snus vs. other tobacco products, including American smokeless tobacco, ciggarettes, cigars etc. The more detailed the better.

BTW, I have looked into the subject, but it's hard to find a full and clear spectrum of information.. I'm hoping that someone out there has already compiled this info.

    Thanks.

This should be in the snus and health section. Snus does not "cause cancer".

The only thing they've found was that it may double your risk of pancreatic cancer from 4 out of 10,000 to 8 out of 10,000. The 4 is if your a non tobacco user. I can't remember if it's 10,000 or 100,000. I'm still working on my first cup of coffee, and not awake enough to find the thread with the correct info.

So, I guess a comparison chart between snus and other tobacco products would be a pretty boring thing to look at lol.. That is mostly the info I have come across thus far, but I just couldn't believe that that could be it..

The harm from tobacco use, is when it is burned and the smoke inhaled. The treatment of tobacco also affects it some, and the snus process of steam pasturization has least negative aspects. But the list one may find of certain things, are to be found also in all things, like common foods.

It's 100,000 and you have to add that it's 14 out of 100,000 for smokers. So switching to snus dramatically cuts your risk if you are/were a smoker.

The oral cancer rate was the same as for non tobacco users. I wouldn't totally write off the risk, but it's very low. See this thread, and linked article that I posted awhile ago...

Keep in mind that you may find serious cancer links around the web regarding oral tobacco, and nasal snuff. The country where these cases are from is very important. Some cultures use very dangerous ingredients with their tobacco, and is the primary cause in these instances. Generally sticking with English/European forms of tobacco is best imo. Dholakia(India) is an exception I make. I completely trust their products.

Maybe they got the snus from Getsnus.com and it was about to expire in the next hour?

Hey! I order from GetSnus all the time and all of my cans are at least 4 months before expiration. It also gets to my house in two days. So, pffffft to you, sir.
