Where did you get that list. Is that all the proposed ways to bring in cash to pay for free healthcare? lol
Below is a list of the tax increases Congress and the Administration have proposed to finance health care reform. This list includes taxes in the bill passed by the House of Representatives, the bill the Senate is currently debating, and other taxes mentioned as a possible way to pay for health care reform.

Yah I mentioned this months ago and everyone jumped on me saying i'm just being alarmist and that none of it will ever pass or happen, blamed fox news etc. But the fact is that we gotta pay for it somehow.

        Its Comng

Pretty soon the government will find a way to tax you for masturbating because it can cause carpal tunnel syndrome and drive up the costs of health care! I found a great website to combat this effect and keep our healthcare costs down.

No offense Sage, but the policies you advocate contradict reality:

As this study demonstrates, Until age 56 y, annual health expenditure was highest for obese people. At older ages, smokers incurred higher costs. Because of differences in life expectancy, however, --->lifetime health expenditure was highest among healthy-living people<--- and lowest for smokers....

Obesity prevention may be an important and cost-effective way of improving public health, but --->it is not a cure for increasing health expenditures<---.

In actuality, if we wish to keep government expenditures as low as possible as far as health care costs, then we should not tax sugar, flour, sodas, etc, and should likewise repeal taxes on alcohol and tobacco. Since studies easily demonstrate lifetime health expenditures are highest among healthy-living people, then we need to tax low-fat meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy, gym memberships, bicycles, roller blades, sports equipment, etc.

It is the healthiest of people who incur the highest of health care costs, simply because they live so much longer. In other words, don't believe the hype.

(It makes perfect sense when you think about it. If people smoke or drink themselves to death by age 50, there is NO Medicare expense and certainly no Social Security paid to them.)

You know when I was single I used to think that married men were lucky because they could get access to "The Box" on demand. Now I know better!

Lol Snuppy that's a very good point. Its not something that would be politicly expediant, but if you actually wanted to cut costs, you'd let stupid people kill themselves. They get their freedom, and we get a cheaper Health Care Bill.

That reminded me of something I read online about 1040's a while back.

The IRS tax income guidelines insist that "…illegal income, such as money from dealing illegal drugs, must be included in your income on Form 1040, line 21."

Just for kicks, it would be funny to try and claim 3 million in income from crack sales.
See what happens, then pull a Tim Geithner or Governator and be like "it was a paperwork error".

Better yet - tell the IRS you lost a couple of grand trying to sell crack and use it as a deduction.

Even better, I can file a DBA and then write off my first few kilo's of powder as cost of doing business expenses for startups.
