    Bad Reaction to Kanel

I just tried a can of Odens Kanel los (regular strength) and it gave me a serious headache. I guess it is the cinnamon flavoring, which makes me sad cause I really like the flavor. I haven't had any problem with any others, and I think when I got sick from the ES Kanel, it might have been the flavoring.

I know Juniper gives some people a bad reaction, any of you guys have this problem?

Never, nor ever heard anyone else ether.

Suggestion. Give it at least one more attempt in next few days. Until then, you don't know for sure it was even related. Could just be bad timing.

I'm definately going to try again as I hope it was just timing. I thought the es was too strong and that was what was making me feel like dirt, but I got pretty much the same reaction from the regular. I'm gonna hang onto it and update in a few days after trying it again.

There are all kinds of food sensitivities. I am moderately allergic to peanuts, more so to Brazil nuts, and when I was an infant, something in eggs. I can eat eggs now just fine. I believe I may also have a very slight allergy to foods such as shrimp. I can eat shrimp, but I really don't seek it out. I can't have a PB&J, but I can eat boiled peanuts, since boiling removes or alters the guilty protein. In fact, if I eat peanuts that aren't quite boiled enough, I get a little bit of a reaction.

I'm much more fortunate than some people. I can have a bit of peanut and it won't kill me. So if someone was planning on offing me by breathing on me with your peanut breath, you're out of luck.

          Milk give me gas.

did you use two, or put it in a new spot, or cram it up there so far it might as well be in your nose? Putting pressure for prolonged periods in your mouth can put pressure on any surrounding area and sinuses which could lead to headaches.

I'm pretty sure its the flavoring. I never have gotten a headache from snus before and I only use los so I can't really cram that uo there.

I tried again this morning. I put a loosely baked pris in my normal spot and about twenty seconds in, I got a headache starting. I spit it right out.

I've now had this reaction on an empty and full stomach, first pris, middle of the day pris... Pretty much I tested it out to make sure there were no other contributing factors.

Also, I don't eat much stuff with cinnamon flavoring, (never cinnamon candy or gum) so I'm going to cross this one off of my snus list.

Cinnamon, as a spice does not do this to me so it might just be the way the flavoring is formulated.

That's really weird. I've never had that issue, or ever heard of it until yours. I alternate my first snus in the morning (pending how late I stayed up the night before) with either Kanel, or Exlyr. That sucks dude, Kanel is awesome.

Yeah it sucks, I really like the flavor. Not much I can do about it though.

It sounds more like you just absorbed too much nicotine but if you are a regular hard snusser I wouldn't want to accuse you of that :P Allergies are definitely possible, but I think sometimes even snussers get more nicotine than they're ready for at that time.

I thought it was too much nic at first cause I had the OES Kanel los first. I then ordered the regular strength kanel los and had the same reaction.

No other snus has done this to me and I pretty much have a pris in all day.

At least I don't have a problem with juniper.

I tried some Big Red today and got the same reaction. Its the flavor.

I wanted to edit my last post and add this onto it but my @$*#ing Blackberry doesn't want to load the edit page.

the Odens Extra Kanel did the exact same thing to me. On the other hand, I love the Original.
