I've just recently been through a similar thing. I've been using snus since late April this year so i can't blame on me being a newbie.
The only thing that i done different was i tried a can of Ice Fruit. Now i'm not blaming that directly but it does seem a little coincidental.
My issue wasn't with gums though, it was the inside of my cheek where it meets the gumline. It was almost like i had blisters. I switched sides and it happened on that side too. Luckily my local gas station has started selling Stonewalls so i was using them more than snus for a while. Now two weeks after it all started everything has healed up ok and i'm back using snus full time. Also i went back to some brands i haven't had any problems with, Ettan and Odens Kanel portions. I also added a can of Thunder frosted minis to the order and they have been just fine too. Needless to say i won't be revisiting the Ice Fruit.

      sensitivity comes and goes

for me sometimes I have to cut back on snus or dip because it gets irritating but then sometimes I don't have to. Same thing happens for me with tea though.

once upon a time I went to india and my tongue was always sore. when I came back to the USA my tongue got better. Then I discovered that if I drank tea it made my tongue sore. Sometimes more and sometimes less.

Snus doesn't bother me as much as tea does but it also bothers me sometimes.... then when it does bother me I cut back a bit.... take it out earlier etc.
