HA! I want MUSCLE weight and I don't think pizzas, whether frozen or not, can give me that. Although, I have gained two pounds while my fat percentage dropped one point, which should mean I gained muscle weight. This is after 5 weeks of ditching low carb veggies for complex carbs.

Most people who use snus are former smokers. People who smoke typically have other unhealthy life style choices, such as poor diet and booze. So, it should not be any surprise that people who use snus are overweight. This is a study, as many are, that had a purpose, to show that snus is detrimental. It is very rare to find a study or research that is purely non biased because they are paid by people out to prove a point. If this study was non biased the conclusion would be been that poor life style choices caused the participants to be over weight, not snus.

Then it still accomplishes their goal. People don't want to be associated with a group that is considered stupid. Snusers in general make bad decisions = if you are a snuser you make bad decisions. It doesn't matter if the snus caused the weight gain at all.

snupy- I've always been on the fat side, so gaining weight was the last of my desires. But have you tried one of those mega weight gainer powders, and had one a few times spaced throughout the day? Seems that might be effective if one did it regimented and kept with it.

On the BP issue, my BP is high, I have some meds, but I am terrible on remembering to thake them. But I have noticed if I cut out carbs, my BP goes to normal.

Being able to put on weight or not being able to put on weight is partly genetic. There's a couple of us here that can't put on weight no matter what we eat and there's the unlucky ones that put it on after drinking a glass of water. I did an experiment with myself and ate as much high calorie food as I could possibly stand for a month. I didn't even put on a pound - just made myself feel sick and I shat a lot.

I've not noticed snus curbing my appetite. Smoking definately did.

Lol than we're in the same boat. Ive ran enough for a lifetime, right now i'm just chillin. And i'll one up you with the frozen Pizza's: I eat one nearly every night before I goto bed around 11pm. I am about to start working out again, but don't plan on ever running 6 miles again at any point in my life. Plus a lot of studies show that mild exercise is what actually keeps you healthy.

When I was 19 I wanted to bulk up because I was too skinny. So I ate nothing but protein and carbs in excessive amounts, took double dosages of weight gainer from GNC etc. Not a single ****ing pound. Your right, if your skinny your skinny. You can get toned by working out, but gianing weight is something that can be hard to do if too skinny. Focus on your legs a lot, I hear that working out your legs releases testasterone or something that helps your upper body get larger. not sure if that's true or not.

The only advantage to having weight is if you throw a punch and even on that front I haven't had a problem. My fighting days are over now though - chilling time now.
That's also why we never did PT in the gym, just cross training and core strengthening exercises. To be an effective dismounted light infantry unit you need to be strong and agile, and neither of those come from being super big.

Welcome Jack. You seem to be in the wrong forum. We do much more snusin & snuffin in here and very little smoking for those very reasons you mentioned.

Hey Jack, welcome to the forum. You'll be pleased to know that all of us here on Snuson use snus/snuff, which are not linked to the ailments you mentioned, and we all stopped smoking for the very same reason. Also, what country are you posting from?
