    Gums

Has anyone had to quit snus due to gum damage?

I haven't, but if I really notice something, I probably will. I hate going to a dentist, and I am not super good with dental hygeine as it is.

I haven't had to. I have cut back when they got sore but I have been using snus or dip for a couple years now and it seems ok.

One side has been receded for a while now. When I rub my tongue over it it feels like I have a piece of popcorn kernel stuck into it. But I can actually hang my nail off the tooth that's exposes that ought not to be exposed. And its discolored. Hurts sometimes. Dentist said to stay off that side for a while more and if it still looks like it does and feels to come back.

I'm with Tom, If I start noticing any kind of damage or bad recession, i'm going to quit..

But, I've been snusing about 7 months or so, plan to quit once I hit the 1 year mark.

Apparently a small percent of snus users experiance recession and of that portion users experiance significantly less than loose.
            Anyone had recession with portions?
