    Worried

My hubby fell asleep w a pouch in his mouth for over 12 hours, it’s been 5 days we have seen 2 doctors and he has sores all over his gums, mouth and pallet! He doesn’t have strep and they did blood work! He can’t eat either cause it hurts so bad! The doctors said he burnt his mouth w the chew being in so long! Has anyone heard of such a thing

      THE SHORT ANSWER IS NO.
Sorry that happened. I hope he is ok. In all the years this site has been up with 1000s of members I believe we have never heard of anyone having a problem sleeping with a snus in. Some people do it on purpose all the time. Some peoples gums may get a tiny bit irritated with regular use of white portions but that's about it. Sleeping with one in shouldn't hurt anyone.

However, sleeping with loose dip or regular chewing tobacco in may cause a problem tho. But that irritation is not even close to having to see a doctor about it. I wouldn't blame the snus just yet, your husband may be allergic to it.

      Good Luck

I agree withh PP's short answer, and I've never heard of a reaction like that.
And, BTW, I have just started using white portions almost full time after my last order, having used original portions nearly exclusively for a few years. The white portions, from Swedish match anyway, are very soft and don't irritate at all.

Note: Maybe the planets have aligned or something, but it is an odd cowinkydink that we have two negative posts Re: gum/mouth irritation in 24 hours from two first time posters.....
