Still sick. Coughing bad and congested. Staying away from nasal snuff but can't stop snus'n. Hope the drip isn't irritating things worse - can't really tell either way...

I can't stand being sick!

Thank you and I'm also getting very moody. I think I'm developing a period.

Update: So here we are, my Z-pac completed last Friday and I'm still left with a friggin hellish cough, occasional congestion that just won't move and when it does it's like the color and consistency of elmer's glue. And of course as I'm awake all day coughing, within an hour or two I'm popping Tylenol XS every 4 hours just so I can hold my head up.

So today, I got the doc to call me in another Antibiotic: Cefdinir 300mg

& Prometh/COD 6.26-10 SYP (some kind of cough medicine w/ codeine init)

Hoping to clear this damn thing out. Missing the nasal snuff.

LaZe I'm just today getting over a cold and possible sinus infection, yesterday I was in bad shape, but I got an order in from nicotine rush and I've only tried a handful of snuffs in my life so I had to dig in, and let me say that you're doing the right thing by obstaining. Oh man, snuffing into a snotty nose is something that someone would do only when, well, drunk and sick. I had to pull an emergency neti job on myself except I don't have the device so I found an old bottle of saline solution, plugged a nostril, tilted back, and just dumped that crap into my nose until it came out my mouth. I had never heard about the neti pot until this thread or thought about flushing one's nasal... But it helped for sure.

No doubt Roo, no doubt. I did just f()ck up and snort some dhokalia black (think that's what it's called) from the current nasal snuff box pass. Boy was that a mistake. I'm piken out boogers like a coal miner. ops: And these don't even smell or taste good.

I will certainly be giving the neti pot another whirl here shortly before hitting the hay. Even picked me up a gallon of distilled water tonight @ the Walmart when getting my scripts just for that purpose.

Seriously, I wondered about that. Call me paranoid but they have all through the box and instructions about using only distilled, bottled, or water that has been boiled. I mean personally I have a well and it has some iron init but has been tested safe otherwise although sometimes it smells a bit of rotten egg.

I understand the principle behind their warning as to the water BUT how really necessary is it? I mean how many people actually only use distilled or boil it first?

I use a special blend of tap waters imported from Guangzhou, Delhi, and Mexico City.

As you can probably tell by the nature of my caring and sincere posts...........I use holy water.

thought I was gona say sparkling water huh
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Tap water in a neti pot irritated my throat and was not good. The salt pack really makes a big difference.

Just got back from the dr.s. BP 128/74, Sinus infection confirmed. Still on the later anti-biotic and rev'd up cough syrup. Otherwise doing fine other than staying away from snuff for the time being.

prometh/codeine is good! i actually have a bottle sitting on my desk right here... but you mentioned you had taken benedryl with your klonopin at one point and it zonked you out hard.

just for reference's sake, promethazine is an anthistamine like benedryl and it will potentiate the codeine in the syrup... and both of those together will potentiate the klonopin.

so you know, i wouldnt take those two together if you had something to do lol

Thanks and funny you mention that and my Dr. hasn't.
I screwd up and took a teaspoon of the cough syrup yesterday morning at the same time as my morning clonazapam and had a delayed effect. 4+ hours later I was seriously ready to just lay my head down where ever and fall immediately asleep. It was so bad for a few hours that when I got up to walk, I could feel my eyes closing and my legs giving out like I was literally going to fall asleep. Needless to say, I'm now being cautious and basically trying to hold out till evening/bedtime to take the cough syrup. Sucks though because it does help qualm the cough and thus eliminate the damn headache but I must be awake to do my work!

Nicotine via my snus does seem to be at least giving me an added boost in keeping my concentration and ability to keep my eyes open. Still staying off the snuff though till this thing clears. Doc doesn't even know about that habit yet and I'm reluctant to bring it up OR I know he will blame my sinus infection on the nasal snuff, no doubt.... :?
