sgreger if you have a shortage of roaches I can help. I recently purchased a hundred mixed sized dubia roaches for my Rhacodactylus auriculatus (type of gecko) and 95 percent of them are far too large. I'd be willing to donate these if you're interested. They don't smell, can't climb or fly, and don't make noise.

I don't think so nicotine has any advantage. Nicotine can affect several parts of the body, as it is carried by the bloodstream to different organs. The side effects of nicotine can be classified into short term effects, and long term effects. The short term nicotine side effects include, an increase in the heart rate and blood pressure, and narrowing or constriction of the blood vessels. Apart from these, excessive nicotine intake can cause gastrointestinal problems like nausea, diarrhea, dyspepsia and flatulence.

Welcome to the forum, I think an introduction would be great.

Long story short I have a neuroscience experiment going on in my house where I have a stable of exotic cockaroaches and other bugs, and what I do is rip off one of the limbs (don't worry, they grow back), and hook it up to this circuit board I have wired up, and essentially it allows me to intercept and listen in on the sensory data that the specimen's limbs are transmitting to it's brain. I am just essentially converting the electric signals the body uses to talk to the brain into an audio file, allowing me to hear (and see) spikes in neuronal activity, then I can do different shit to the specimens (like inject them with nicotine) to see what effect that has on it's ability to talk to the brain. For example, nicotine speeds things up incase you didn't already know, which is why you think a little clearer after popping in a nice pris. But I plan to actually recreate this in a controlled fashion in my kitchen so I will soon be able to solve the answers to this thread, all I need is to find a cockaroach with ADD and i'll be good to go! lol
You should cut the foreplay and go straight towards human testing.

I actually found out about snus through schizophrenia.com. Check this out:

                http://www.schizophrenia.com/smokereport.htm

It's a good read even if you're not schizo. I'm schizoaffective (combo of bipolar and schizophrenia) and it's pretty much impossible for me to quit without going through crazy withdrawl, depression, isolation, the whole deal.

It's estimated that up to 90% of people with schizophrenia smoke and up to 60% of people with bipolar smoke.

I know that for me, I need nicotine just to maintain some degree of sanity.

If you're schizoaffective i'd say snus is your best way of getting your nicotine.

Ansel, definitely. I've tried everything to quit smoking including cold turkey which was hell until I started smoking again. With the patches I was in a constant state of withdrawl for 3+ months because the nic dose is so low.

Now, that I'm getting into the snus I need to man up and eliminate the cigs.

Haha. I've definitely got sterks. Jak's and Thunder Frosted. And I'm packing an Ettan Los right now. Los is key. The problem is that I have a carton and a half of cigs sitting in my closet. I've been debating on what to do with them. Throw 'em out. Or give 'em away. Or smoke 'em. Not sure. They need to go though. I'll figure it out today.

Give them away. Some kindness will come back your way.
