I've never coughed up blood, even though Cigs have just about killed me after 30 years. My doc is warning me about emphysema, heart disease, diabetes, and all that other crap. (and she's right, dammit!!) Snus causes me to hiccup sometimes, but no bleeding. I'm using it to stop chain smoking, but have not been able to totally quit like some folks here. It's helping, and now that I have a few months under my belt, I'm about to quit the smokes all together. The doc is right, I need to pull my head out....go see yours!!

Tried Camel again when my supply was dwindling and was awaiting a shipment of real snus. The thing I noticed this time was a weird itchiness or tickling sensation in my throat, similar to the first inklings of a cold. Must be something in here that is not good as the ingredients don't have to be food grade.

I've not tried American snus because I don't trust that they will produce a pure product like the Sweds. I hate that, I want to buy it here, but I know I can't trust them. American tobacco products have just about killed me, I won't use any of their fake snus. If we got American companies to produce snus like the Sweds, can you imagine how good it would be? They won't do it though, they would have to abandon so many brands that people love!! Oh well, time to pop some LD! Mmmmm 8)

If you havn't been to a doctor then do so as soon as possible. It's not the snus. You need to be checked for esophageal varicies, throat cancer, and even possibly congestive heart failure. It may be as simple as you swallowed a dorito sideways and cut your esophagus too. You have to have a scope done to find out for sure.

swallowing a Dorito© sideways!? I'd kinda like to see somebody do that! I certainly understand though, I'm on high doses of blood thinners [coumadin®] and apparently scratched my throat by not chewing the hard end of a piece of French bread a few weeks ago. Had a little horror-movie moment over the bathroom sink.
