What? Like, "Warning: Contents may be dumber then they appear", "Warning: Contents may spontaneously lie" or "Warning: Contents may be ethically challenged"?

the LARGER warnings are to make them feel more powerful...its obvious that they are OVERcompensating for something

The FDA has label envy over the huge ones required by EU countries. Check out these cigarette labels from the UK (thanks, Wikipedia):

Sorry, I was wrong - cigarette warnings get all big and silly the following year (2011).

If I were a snus manufacturer I would name my next line of snus:

Warning This Product May Cause Cancer®

Then I would sue the hell out of the government for every warning label they put on a tobacco product

When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Sadly this won't change until Swedish snus is granted MRT status by the FDA, but there's no guarantee that's going to happen either. The FDA has up to a year to consider a prodcut and render a decision, after a product has been submitted for modified risk tobacco status. So at the earliest we're talking 2011. What I'm concerned with is the KY Supreme Court case where big tobacco sued over advertising limitations. If this decision is overturned then Tombstone marketing rules will be implemented on all advertisements for tobacco products here in the U.S.
