yes, Swedish snus helped me kick the habit initially. Went back to cigs for a few months when I moved away from where I could find it locally. Nowadays I have to settle for cheap dip (Stokers), but it's keeping me away from the nasty cigarettes. If Swedish snus was as cheap before PACT, I'd use it in a heart beat. Good lord I want some Claq Qui now...

I used to smoke for over 15 years (1 package/day) and this summer I suddenly remembered snus - having heard about it many years ago when a friend was in Sweden and brought it along. In this time I thought it would be strange but now I nearly stopped smoking - using snus for about half a year now - although I never planned to do so! It is great for me to see the positive effects like better breathing and no bad smell!

But also I am concerned abouth teeth and gum - getting my first los soon - hope they won't turn yellow...

I swear my oral health is better than when I was smoking. My lungs are a hundred percent repaired and I don't stink like an ash tray anymore. I just can't find any negatives as of yet.....

Kicked a pack every 1-2 days of smokes and 2-3 cans of dip a week. Also Noticed I don't drink as often, can get a little snus in me and am quite content.

Regularly for over 4 yrs. The firs couple years I'd have an occasional one if someone had some. But for about 2 years I've not even wanted one even if around others who had some. I've turned 2 buddies onto snus and their both nearly smoke free now. It's just such an awesome way to quit smoking. Damn near fool proof if you ask me.

After about two months of snusing I was able to completely quit smoking without withdrawal. This was in 2006. I smoked for about 20 years.

I started snusing along with cigs four months ago, and quit cigs three months ago. I was at 20-30 Marlboros a day. Snus is much better, more fun along with less cost and the health advantages. I've become a little neurotic though......... so much snus so little time!

Well, this is going to be it. I am down to my last pack of cigarettes. When this pack is done, I feel ready to take the plunge. Wish me luck, guys. I am at a point where for the past few months, I've been snusing more than I've been smoking, so that in itself should ease the transition.

I started smoking at 13 back in 1982. Built up a heavy habit over the years untill i was 32. Started college in glasgow 2001 and the lifts were so full every morning i had to take the stairs. My lungs couldnt hack it anymore so i went on the patch but just smoked roll ups at the weekend with a few beers. When i started smoking again full time i knew it was the end having mild asthama. So i went on the ecigs for a year mixing my own juice etc and it worked. But my lungs still felt bad and it made my tongue numb. Tumbled across some snus info on the internet somewhere. Now ive converted two other heavy smokers to the cause lol. Cant believe this stuff is banned in the EU. Clueless.

Thanks bro, I've been finding I've been enjoying the snus more than I enjoy cigarettes as of lately. Parents absolutely despise it, but they'll have to learn to deal. 6 years of smoking. Started when I was 15, now am 21. I just love having my own place and mailing address. My friend who has been smoking for the same amount of time is also quitting for snus. None of us thought that the first tin of Camel snus would be a gateway to quitting. I then researched snus and learned about real Swedish snus, and relayed this to my friend also. Amen for snus, that's for sure.

Had my first pack of smokes when I was 12 and have always had a pack on me since I was 15. I am thirty now, so 15 years of a pack a day habit. I have tried patches, gum, inhalers, ecigs..etc with no luck quitting.

Years ago got a free tin of camel snus but it never took care of my nic needs so I blew off Snus. I heard how Swedish snus was so much better but did not have the confidence to order some from Sweden A few weeks ago I came across some General at a local gas station. I did a little research to make sure it was the real deal and then jumped on it.

A day after getting my hands on some real Swedish snus I was smoke free. It has really has been 15 years since I went a day with out at least 10 cigs. The first week I still had my struggles getting over the route and the hand and mouth thing. Snus really help keep me on track even when I was sitting next to my wife burn one down. I recommend keeping some extra stark laying around for the weak moments. I have not had a smoke for three weeks and don't plan on ever going back. I feel so much better and love how I am not looking for a moment where I can sneak out as well as getting the evil looks of non smokers.

I started smoking when I was 16, and was quickly up to a pack of Marlboro Reds a day. Kept up on that through high school, quit last May after three years (I'm only 20). At first, I was using primarily nasal snuff with the occasional portion. Around December, I had completely lost my sense of smell, could not breathe through my nose, and was told by my ENT doc that I needed a septoplasty. As I didn't want this somewhat debilitating surgery, I gave up snuff and turned exclusively to snus. Within days, my sinuses had cleared and I regained my sense of smell. It was sad; I truly loved nasal snuff but it exacerbated my preexisting sinus/septum problems and I had to give it up. Nonetheless, I'm thankful for snus. What a marvelous transition it has been!
