Just been for a run for the first time since stopping smoking.

Well then I need to lose several inches or start aging faster.

I'm ex infantry so I'm used to running and tabbing 15 milers constantly with kit on my back, a 4 kilo rifle in my hand and kilos of ammunition - that's when I was lucky enough not to be carrying the GPMG or the milan anti tank missile. I don't ever want to go there again but 5 miles is a very respectable distance and I'd put that at the limit of a sensible run. Any more and I don't think it's that good - unless it's your job.

Do it man - you'll feel a million dollars for it - I promise.
Nice bit of advice. I am feeling some motivation here. I used to love running and now feel way too out of shape to do it. I remember in the military, we did not have the option of working our way up to it and it was either run the full 3-5 miles or look like a big pussy in front on 100 other people. Peer pressure can work wonders! Your post got me thinking though how much I enjoyed running and how easy it was to keep the weight off and stay in shaping by doing it.

Do it but remember don't push too hard - keep it nice and easy and you'll get the bug back.
Fitness returns remarkably quickly - I've missed that endorphin rush.

As much as I despise exercising nothing feels better than finishing up and getting on with your day

I don't run unless I'm being chased by police or large dogs.

Yes, but there is something to be said about being able to do so.

my lungs are tashed, would love to run, but not in the big picture for me for a while yet.

I figure it this way, if you can run, you can get away. Since I don't run, I carry a pistol (legally of course), and my personal rule of thumb, always carry a pistol of a caliber sufficiently large that your finger can fit in the barrel. Now this leads to you become exponentially more deadly, the larger and slower you become

I am up to a .45 BTW LMAO........

I'm in bad shape. I got worse every year I did cross country I went from 21:00 to 25:00 for a 5k. I could probably run five miles with a gun to my head but I'd have shin splints like none other. I should get in better shape when I start work as a courtesy clerk since you're on your feet more. Then I should start running.

It may or may not be a good idea but if somebody like Frosted for example, started a snus and fitness group I would want to join for sure. Part of the reason that I gave up smokes is to try and get back into decent shape.

That's a wicked idea - the group is up.

                        Does masturbation count as fitness?

I know it's multi-tasking but try jogging and masturbating furiously at the same time.

That would never work. I'm too 'large' to even try that. Would trip all over the place. Actually when the blood all rushes to that certain area, I have to be laying on my back.
