I'm an ex-athlete (college baseball), and used to be in incredibly good shape. I smoked briefly in college but quit because it made my workouts harder to manage and I couldn't compete at the highest levels while smoking. When I got out of college, I took up smoking again and managed to still work out regularly, though I wasn't doing anything as intense as college because it was more about staying in decent shape and looking good, not beating someone on the field. Over the years, though, it kind of got to me. I stopped working out and gained some weight. I tried working out again, but my lungs weren't taking it, especially since I was overweight by that point too.

I quit smoking 4 months ago and have switched to Snus. Last week I finally joined a gym again and actually feel GOOD working out. I still have a ways to go before I'm back in shape, but I can tell there's a huge difference between trying to work out when I was smoking compared to when I'm snusing.

Not entirely relevant to this whole discussion, but just thought I'd share that snus is helping me in more ways than just quitting smoking. :-)

I wouldn't dream of working out without snus. I've never had an issue with snussing while working out, whether speed-walking the local mountains or weight lifting. If it is a risk at the ripe old age of 46, I had no idea.

        Snupy, dude where you been?

I'm the same way, I always take 2 things to the gym with me: my ipod, and my thunder frosted. Lost 5 pounds in the last 2 weeks btw!

Busy as hell man, but in a very good way. I am having to let some things go, because I can't manage as much as I think I can. There's not enough hours in a day.

Congrats on the weight loss man! I have got a wee bit to slim at the waist and a bit of muscle to put back on for Halloween. My workout plan is as follows:

            1. Get caffeine buzz
            2. Get nic buzz (usually in combo with #1 above)
            3. Get exercise buzz.

Well, my gym has at least one other snuser. Spotted a used portion in the trashcan there today. I'm sure it was snus, not a Bandit, not sure it was Swedish, could have been one of the new larger Camel pouches.
