I'm a fairly new snuser, but I have a question for everyone: How long can you go without having a snus before you start to feel withdrawal symptoms? And what kind of symptoms do you have?
How long can you go without snus before feeling the effects?

I'm a "true addict". If I'm really busy, I'll sometimes forget to snus or switch out my snus. After a couple hours I start really feeling withdrawal. I have a fast metabolism though and I always keep my nicotine levels high. Symptoms include bitchyness, lack of focus/concentration, and dizzyness.

I don't think I've really went long enough without a snus to tell but back round a year ago, I went 45 days with no tobaccy coming off Copenhagen dip and nearly murdered people including myself.
1. Very restless
2. Headaches & bodyaches
3. General fatigue
4. Irritable
5. Very Irritable and becoming irrational.
Those were pretty much my symptoms the entire duration in that aprox order ranging from several hours into the quit clear up to the 45 day mark.
On a side note, my first cave to tobacco was with an American Camel frosted snus walking around in walmart on day 45 and I was buzzing bigtime. lolZieZ!!! Now that is bad and embarrassing to admit to... BUT, I immediately felt this huge weight off my shoulders, was able to concentrate better and also get a hold of my anger within min.s... of re-introduction to nicotine. Have yet to find a psychotic drug help with the anger to that degree as the nicotine did personally.

I have been missing a lot of morning doses lately.
Been using for little over 2 years now and maybe half as much when I first started. With cigs I could barely get to a hour before needing one but snus has never been do or die. It is only a slightly uncomfortable feeling which actually can go away.
Not like smokes where I would run to the 24 hour gas station at odd hours of the night to get a fix.

With smokes, I had to have one and I would get an almost nervous feeling if I didn't have any with me.
With snus, I feel like I manage my nic addiction much better.

The nic stays in your blood longer when you use tobacco orally. I think it's about six hours for me before I start thinking man, I really could use a snus. The symptoms I have are a decrease in the ability to concentrate on things. This gives way to irritability. I haven't gone past that point in six years or so but I know what comes next.
For me those symptoms would be followed by depression, exhaustion, slight dizziness, and generally being sort of pissed off. Chemically I read that the nic is gone from the body by about 72 hours and after that it's all in your head. Snus is so easy to use though so the psychological dependence would be the hardest to break. That's how it was when I quit smokes cold-turkey. I'd also agree that I needed nic more w/ cigs but I think it's 'cos it didn't stay in my blood as long.

when i smoked i could go one hour before i was wanting one bad. two hours and i was close to panic mode. three hours and no one better talk to me. i snus mostly sterk and if i want i can go two hours without any problems. maybe about three hours and yea i want my snus. four hours and i am irritable. five hours and more irritable. but i dont ever really hit the panic mode...... but i should add i rarely go more than four hours. so i may in fact have a panic point and just dont know. for the first time in my life i feel that i could quit tobacco if i seriously wanted to. i could never have said that when i smoked.
