Why does this even require a site? Snus is still tobacco. Is there anyone doubting that it being snus, it some how magically makes it not tobacco and all the health effects that are associated with tobacco in general?

Why not focus on your stated intention. Design a site geared to help people quite nicotine all together. In many places the cost of snus is formidable. In other places it will be soon enough.

So why not set up a site that offers insights and tips that have helped others in their own quest. Offer forums that provide peer support as well as the experiences of those further a long in the journey. Do that and your site might provide a very useful service..............rather than digressing into just one more yellow journalistic consolidation of bull shit.

I guess you will have to answer one question that will define the entirety of your site:

Do you want a site that will inform/scare people into wanting to quit?

or

Do you want to provide a site that will actually help people who already want to quit (for whatever the reason)

Choose the first and you blend in with the countless 1000s of shrill voices that too often present only half the truth (at best) and too often are politically motivated (Just look at PACT..........Bless those good anti-tobacco folks..............funded by Phillip Morris........................saving our children and boosting PM's sales all at the same time.................wait?.........what!!!)

Choose the second and do it well and you will have provided a service that is unique and of benefit......................hell I would suggest putting a link to it here.......for those who wish to use snus as just one step to tobacco freedom.

Yes, that would be the direction I would go with it. But again, right now I only put up a placeholder because I recently purchased the domain and don't have much time to build anything on top of it. Whatever is on it is not meant to be seen by a wide audience... that's why it looks like that.

To be misleading and reckless takes no time or effort at all

However to create a site that genuinely helps people will takes personal experience quitting snus, a passion and belief in what you are offering, a team of others with that same experience and passion, as well as a lot of thought, time, and effort.

My concerns are these:

1. You have none of the above. When I tell people to switch from dip to snus I believe what I am saying, I have done it myself, and I know first hand the benefits of doing so. Furthermore, I am surrounded by folks on this forum who share that passion and come with their own experiences to help those who want to make the change.

2. So far you site has exhibited nothing of your vision to help but only the very sort of information you claim to want to avoid. In other words, my passion and vision are what come out first (even if it is unrefined and only to be viewed by a few). I may go back and revise and polish it but my first thoughts are where I am going.

So as I look at the big picture of what you have presented us here today.....I see no motive to help (why are you undertaking this), no experience to enable you to help (how will you do this), and no concrete indication that you ever intended to help before getting called on it here (where do we see it).


If this came across my desk....................I'd send you back to bring me a serious proposal...............one that stood out from the 1000s of garbage sites just like the one you were proposing..............that is ..................right after I sunk my teeth deep in you ass for waisting my time.
