New to the LOS

Just got my los in this week and have opened and tried them all I received -

Grovsnus
Goteborg rape
Roda lacket
Ettan and have some Gustavus in the mail

what I don't like is when I place it in my upper lip like portions I don't seem to get flavor like I do with the portions and sometimes the mud mouth especially with the Ettan , I'm using a prismaster and have made a ghetto icetool with a 5ml syringe .

Should los be placed in the lower lip for more flavor and drip ? how do you remove your prilla without it being a big goopy mess ?

I want to really enjoy the los as much as I enjoy portioned snus ,but so far portions are my favorite

It takes awhile before you get flavor from lös. The more you use it, the more flavor you notice. I find the Prismaster and 5ml syringe too big. You may want to try a 3ml syringe. That should help with the mud mouth. It''l get all over your mouth if you put it in your lower lip. To ditch a pris, I pull it down with my tongue, and spit it out. I just eat the stragglers.

Smaller is better to start with. If you pull out the prismaster plunged and flip it around it makes the pris about half the size and that is easier to manage when first getting into los.

As for removal, I had a lot of trouble with that when I first started and was using napkins to get it out until I got my finger swipe method down. Try different things with it because there is no wrong way to use los.

Absolutely no question about it--a 3ml syringe is far and away better for the beginner than anything larger, Prismaster included. 5ml is way too big.

Eventually you will be able to put giant prillas in without mudslides. I have 2-3 gran prillas in all day for 2-3 hours at a time. And I handbake them pretty loose so the flavor starts as soon as it's in. I feel like I get much more flavor than portions.

After I read your post I remembered I have an open can of ettan and general Los in the fridge. I opened them over a month ago thank god I vacumed them in ziplocs the ettan is still moist I got a prilla pris whatever in right now.. This is like my 6th attempt no slides usin a ghetto syringe. You'll get the hang of it in no time. I have the same issue with the flavor not coming right away but it does after about 10 minutes.. I think I pack it to tight to avoid the slides. Little tiny bits fall down for me but it's a real neat blast of flavor.. I just eat them as they fall.. Good luck!

It really depends on how tight you pack your pris. A really tight pris can take a long time to produce flavor but last for hours once it starts. A loose pris will give you immediate flavor but fall apart pretty quickly. The fun part about using los is trying to get that perfect pris!

True! I still have it in and the flavor is still there... I'm going to experiment with making it looser this weekend.. Hmm I wonder if the pris is looser the

I am also noticing a difference between using a prismaster and a ghetto ice tool. The prismaster makes a larger and faster hitting pris while the ghetto ice tool can make a much more compact pris.

Los will always be messy when removing it..

I usually have a complete mouth wash when removing it.

I can't have the Los in my lower lip >> It gets messed up very fast.

I throw some los in the lower lip every now and then. I was a dipper for a while though. It is not much different from using a fine cut dip. If you have some dipping experience, it should not be too much of a problem. If not you might end up with a mouth full of mud.

Pris tightness is a tricky thing. Most snus work best with a medium tight bake imo. It needs a little time to set up but should not crack and fall apart.

Like I said, try different things out and you will find what works best for you.

Los is all I use at home anymore. Never tried it in the bottom lip, but I would imagine it would be a mess pretty quickly. When I first started los I made a mess trying to remove the pris. It would either be all over my mouth or all over my fingers. I finally found a way that works out great for me. I puff up air under my upper lip, try to blow the air behind the pris (between the pris and your gum). Then gently reach above the pris with my index finger and on the sides with my thumb and middle finger and remove it (the key is gently!). Most of the time I can remove the entire pris this way and simply throw it away. Sometimes though I have a bit that got wedged way up that I couldnt get with my index finger. I simply sweep it put with my tongue, spit it out and Im done. Usually never have to rinse anymore.

I bottom lipped Los yesterday. I got some major nicotine 'cos I put nearly 2 grams in. It was Gotlands Gul. After about 25 minutes I was a little let down. My brain was looking for the flood of flavor I used to get from dip but my mouth was not delivering. So forced out some juice. The flavor was not right in the bottom lip, IMO. I spit most of the juices, swallowed some. I don't know. Seems like a waste of snus if you ask me. It didn't get messy though which is good. I can't say that it held together better than dip, but the lower lip muscles in my mouth still work well to hold the wad in place. All in all, I wouldn't do it again. I'll get some Grizz instead.
