Snipping tail ends of portion snus....

Does anyone snip the tail ends of portion snus. I recently purchased Catch Pure Mint with the new 01 pouch. The portion already runs a little long but I like the narrower portion far better than traditional portions. As I look at the tail ends there seems to be a lot of additional pouch material after the end seams. Has anyone tried snipping these ends down to remove the unnecessary length. Seems like a good idea to me. Does any one snip the portion tail end to reduce overall length?

I will occasionally fold down an overly long portion end but I have yet to take scissors to a portion.

that question is just a little too personal imo. somewhat on the order of asking if someone is circumsized or not.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I haven't cut them off or even thought about doing it until now, But have noticed that the ends of the pouch material do extend further on the Catch Pure Mint more than any other snus...

I have a fresh uncut portion of Pure Mint in now but did cut the ends on the remaining portions. The portions look much smaller and definetly will help keep the end flap from sticking out of the sweet spot unnecessarily.

Pure Mint portions do poke out. I don't think I'll spend the effort to clip the corners though.

Only takes a minute or so with scissors.

I have circumcised my Thunder Portions...if the fore-material was too big...then I got lazy and just folded them over 'cos I'd only cut them right before putting them in rather than cutting the whole can...though I've thought of it.

It sounds a little bit obsessive/compulsive to me. It reminds me of the people that have to line up the seams on the labels of their snus cans.

I used to not do that... Now I'm starting to. Lol

                        I don't mind the tail ends ..

I like them that anyways.. I put the portion to the side of the gum and it's not bothering me.

Then don't snip my friend. It's a manufacturing issue that's easily corrected. Like Jagmanns posted the Catch Pure Mint has unusually long ends. If you like to suck on the extra tasteless material or have it protrude when you smile, then I guess it works for you. Sometimes you have to think outside the tin.

Why would you do such a thing brother?

                              You're over-thinking it methinks.
