    another Noob joins the team!

    Hey all,

Greetings from Vancouver, Canada. I've recently come over from the dark side.......yep, another former smoker. 22 yrs of punishing my poor lungs and I've finally found something that eliminates uncontrollable cravings to smoke. Finally found the answer!!.....What a great feeling....elation, relief, utter joy!! Thank you Swedish Snus!!

I'm waiting on a snus order placed with The Northerner. Looks like this......
    •Skruf Stark, Loose - 2 pcs. •Prismaster - 2 pcs. Offroad Orange, Long Cut - 1 pcs.
    •Offroad Apple, Long Cut - 2 pcs.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    •Röda Lacket, Loose - 3 pcs. [Shipped]
    •Göteborgs Prima, Loose - 1 pcs. [Shipped]
    •General, Loose - 1 pcs. [Shipped
Anyway, I'm green as hell with respect to Swedish snus and by no means a connoisseur......yet.
I placed this order based on reiviews found on this site and reviews posted on the Northerner site itself.
I was wondering if any of you could recommend a snus that would be similar in flavour to Red Man chew....remember, my pallete is pretty new to this stuff and Red Man has kept me off cigs so I've learned to enjoy the stuff. Just want it in a cleaner, safer, Swedish form. I've also been switching back and forth from apple Skoal....that's why you see the Offroad Apple in my order.

Anyhoo folks...great to be here and thanks in advance for any advice.

    Cheerz!!

Hey Welcome , cool to have some more Canadian Snusers here ,and from B.c. to , I just started in September and loving it so far no a big user but I do use at least 3 portions a day and some los at home on the weekend and also use E cigs and recently got into snuffing a bit . I have built a pretty good collection of Snus but it can be costly if the CBSA gets ahold of it but it is still cheaper and safer than smoking

Vape on ! Snus on ! and Snuff it !!!!!

              Welcome.

Offroad orange is terrible and although I haven't cracked my can of apple I have heard similar things about it.
For another longcut snus the offroad wintergreen is pretty good. There is nothing to my knowledge in snus that has the rasin like redman original chew taste, but there are some good base tobacco snus. The skruf stark Los is one of my favorites along with ettan and general.

                Cool!

Fantastic to get such an international welcome. Nice to see you all. Hey TommyGun. As a fellow west-coaster, care to share any stories re: problems with duty, taxes, at Canada customs. I've ordered from The Northerner but if you know of an e-retailer with a good record of getting orders through......I'm all ears bud.

Thanks C. Was down in St. Pete. Fla. last year for some Tarpon fishing. Beautiful State you've got there man.
As for the apple and orange long cuts.......ya, I was afraid of that. On the other hand most people diss the apple skoal but I'm a big fan so we'll have to see. Thanks again for your recommendations........glad i put some Skruf Stark and General in my order.

Welcome pinklungs! In my experience the only raisin-like taste reminiscent of Redman in the snus world is found in Röda Lacket lös. Let us know how you like the snus.

Thanks Roo. How's life down there in South Vancouver My wife and daughter and I LOVE getting down to your fine town once in a while.....stayed at the new Hyatt downtown last time. Really nice. My folks also have a little place in Birch Bay so we're down there quite a bit too. I was actually thinking of having my snus orders shipped to that address as it's just a 45 min trip down over the border. Do you have any info on WA state import taxes for snus? Any help appreciated.

Re your comment on Roda Lacket vs. Redman........whew, great news man!
                      Thanks very much.

Welcome! Gotlandssnus Flader (green) has an awesome apple taste. I second the Roda los for its raisin flavor but it is not nearly as sweet as chew.

                            great to have you.

                            we needed another victim.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

                              ha ha nice.

The only victim here is a few cans of un-suspecting snus. Poor buggers never knew what hit 'em.
