wow, it has gotten that bad. Here in europe, 1 can with shipping and everything is 12 dollars. When I started snusing it was 8.
But europe has the choice of ordering snus tax free from the US, in rolls. And of course we can get Swedish match products in the snuson VIP membership. Maybe snus is cheaper in Europe than in the US now..

Yep, these days you need to order big to justify the huge UPS shipping costs, or those in low tax states can use Northerner at pretty decent prices. I don't have any General Mint portions though... if you can't get them reasonably I'd suggest hunting them down locally next time you leave Hartford.

I have called 5 different General carrying shops in 3 states and they all have the basic lineup, OP, WP, loose, wintergreen, mint dry. Every one of them when I asked if they planned on carrying the long or long strong said the same thing, "General doesn't have a long, you must be thinking of someone else".

So I go to General's website (to email them information) and guess what, no long mentioned on General's site. They have the basic lineup only. So apparently long and long strong aren't US brands even though you can get them from the US warehouses at GetSnus. Go figure.

Your lucky. Its usually hit or miss here. Sometimes they have OP and sometimes they don't. Los is available about 25% of the time I go in. I have never asked for mint or wintergreen so I am not sure about those. You know whats sad? About 1/2 of the online stores listed on the General website no longer carry snus or they just sell it in state.

I don't think Long was ever going to be part of the default lineup.

Yeah no offense but imo adding long regular and even long sterk would be stupid I would rather that they add ettan or goteborgs rape. Despite the fanciness long is basically another type of general bergamont/pepper flavor they should have more variety in tobacco flavors so if you try snus and don't like mint/wg/bergamont it's not too bad so sad if you want you can order more varieties online which you assume will taste the same.

I think the Long format would do even better in the US in the long run (no pun intended). I mean dip has a social stigma attached to it here and just about everyone I met believes that snus is the same thing as dip. A more discrete portion would be desirable. I know that's when I use my General Long.

The only thing we're allowed to buy on that site are the Stonewall dissolvables. Anything else that contains tobacco is 'prohibited'.

[EDIT: I think I know why... That site is from the Yakama Indian Reservation in Yakima, WA. I guess one would have to drive to the reservation and visit their 'smoke shack' in order to get the goods]
