Thanks for the welcome fellas, cnash, I've watched your reviews for a while, pretty cool of you to stop in... Darwin, I'm a lightweight when it comes to nicotine, always have been. I still catch a buzz from cigs, I quit or graduated to cigars, got into them pretty heavily, have 4 humidors, but I've lightened up since I've been with my GF, she can't handle the smoke, damn allergies. But this snus kick is the way to go for me. I don't like the spit and gunk of dipping, plus I really can't in the kitchen, but snusing the night away while slam dancing on the line is fun again, the buzz is a nice burst of energy.

All: thanks for the links and brands and flavors to check out. I've got a great tobacco guy I can check out, so thank you.

Happy early birthday! Remember the positives: the older we get the wiser we become. Just try whatever sounds like you may enjoy. Half the fun of snus in the beginning is trying all of the many different flavors out there.

I recommend setting a goal of trying about 30 different ones. You might dig on the Northerner/Oomph brand...Boost and slam dancing on the line might be synergistic.

I prefer pure tobacco myself so of course I'll say Grov, but then again I say that to everyone. Ha! Would you do los in the kitchen? There's really no issue with any falling out but I can understand the concern. Just about all of the los tastes different than it's brethren portion. I don't fully understand why this is, but it is. Gotlands and Roda are two that surely taste much better as los, IMO whereas I prefer Grov, and Ettan in portion form. You're tolerance will surely go up so enjoy the buzz while it lasts. It takes effort for me to get a buzz now though this Thunder portion I have in now is doin' the trick. :-)

Welcome aboard, Zen. Cool name too.

I know from reading that I need to get off the brand I'm snusing, so what would you recommend for a newbie to this world? I'm a chef, so I enjoy trying new flavors, but I tend to get a huge rush/buzz from snusing for an hour, then I'll pop it out and I'm buzzing for a good long time. Does this pass as tolerance go up?

Anyway, this looks to be a pretty cool board to be on, so thanks for having me. Happy New Year.
A chef eh? I'd suggest a few that have a hint of herbal flavor - Tre Ankare and Phantom Blue (White Portion) (which is actually one of my regulars) both have a neat herbal taste in the background.
