Any sweet flavors out there that I can purchase in the USA??

I am new to snus and was a 1.5 pack a day ultra light smoker up to a couple week ago.

I found out about snus when I was looking into e-cigs again and figured I would try something out locally before diving into ordering a bunch of snus online to save on costs.

I found some Marlboro SNUS locally and used it and liked the sweet flavor and had my first day of only smoking like 5 cigarettes. So I then found a Tobacco shop near me that had General snus, bought the regular general and mini mints. By that point I was down to 1 smoke a day! I could not believe it.. Disliked the regular general, loved the mini mint. Was around 30% the sweetness of the Marlboro that I first had and had a nice nicotine feel to it better then the Marlboro.

So I decided to go with original Catch licorice mini's and ,made the mistake of purchasing 10, since there was shipping and taxes I figured I should get more and just use it if I did not like it.

I really did not like the Catch, it smells wonderful, but no licorice taste at all really to me.. I was hoping it would be like equal in strength of the flavor to the General mini mints. I would say it is like 1% of the strength of licorice to the mint taste in the mini mints from General.

I know most don't like the Marlboro and I at least have the General mini mints to fall back on if I can't find any other Swedish snus that appeals to me.

Given that I like a strong added flavor, is there anything in Swedish snus someone that has tried everything could recommend please?

I have found the 4mg per portion nicotine levels work best for me. The 8mg general were way too much nicotine, I like being able to have the portion in my mouth for 1+ hours and the mini mints have that nice added flavor up to 60 minutes.

I would have loved to find a portion that reminded me of black jack gum when in. Even if it was much lower in added flavor like the mini mints compared to the Marlboro snus which feels like a desert snus with not that great of a nicotine hit.

I know from what I have read that Swedish snus is high on the salt side and that what I am asking for might not be the norm, but that is my preference and since I already found General mini mint, I figured maybe there is something else out there..

Since you seem so partial to mint, some suggestions I have.

Keep in mind Marlboro "snus" has between 2-3mg of usable ("free") nicotine.

General Mini Mint is around 4mg per portion.

If you wanted to step up - a few suggestions.

Catch Pure Mint - In a white portion like the General Mini Mint, but a little bigger, and a little stronger with a more peppermint flavor, whereas General Mini Mint has a more natural mint flavor (probably from mint oil flavoring) - Is around 7mg of nicotine. I believe this may be right up your alley.

General Mint Portion (Large) - Same flavor profile as Mini Mint, but bigger and stronger. 8mg of nicotine per portion.

You'll find both of the above won't be all that salty, it will only be a small hint.

Offroad Frosted - The above being white portions, they don't get the extra moisture at the end of the manufacturing process so they don't "juice up" as much. This IS an original portion, so it gets a little extra moisture at the end, and will drip a little bit, but no worries - snus is safe to swallow so you don't have to spit. Offroad Frosted has a more spearmint flavor, and is also 8mg of nicotine.

Thunder Frosted - Same as the above in all ways, but VERY strong. Not for a beginner. As you go up the ladder in nicotine strength and feel that you may need that little extra push, Thunder Frosted weighs in at a whopping 16mg of nicotine.
NOTE - There is a Thunder Frosted Long+ portion that is only 12mg of nicotine, and is longer and thinner. Fits a little better in the lip.

Just my suggestions.

But don't limit yourself to mint. Swedish Snus has so much flavor, so many different types you can try, keep an open mind and try as much as you can.

Also, some others to try might be Mocca Mint (5mg of nicotine) - and Fellini Mint (4mg of nicotine), I think you can get the Mocca from BuySnus, the Fellini you can get from Northerner or BuySnus.

Any of these products you can purchase in the USA, just go online and order them and they can be shipped directly to your house.

As far as brick and mortar - your best luck would be:

I just found the review of the Catch licorice, boy I wish I would have read that before buying what I have.

It smells awesome, I can't even taste the tobacco barely in it let alone the licorice flavoring.

Or if you're learning towards flavored, Oden's Kanel is another good one, it has a cinnamon-y flavor to it. But it's f'ing strong. My best advice would be go to Northerner.com or BuySnus.com and click on "mini portion" or "mini white portion" since that's what you're used to, and read each one - flavors, etc - see if you can find something you like, put together an order and let that be that.

Just buy some of the last batch of Discreet that Northener has. That's what I plan on doing soon if only to say I got to try it. Gonna pick up a couple cans of Nordic Ice as well just for the cans. Lol.

If youre looking for a slightly stronger snus (8 or 9mg I believe) Ive found Jacobsons Ice fruit to have a very nice though subtle sweet and fresh flavor, kind of a cross between mint and fruit. Good luck on kicking the smoking habit!

I hate to say it, but I didn't see it mentioned, and while I don't like it myself, Camel Frost. You mention Marlboro, and getting local.

When i tried the catch licorice years ago i remember that the taste was slow in the beginning, only after having it inside for maybe an hour you will actually start to feel the licorice taste.

Probe might not be a bad choice either. It's kind of sweet, and I like the flavor, but I burn out on it very quickly. I picked up a tin of the lös a few months ago, and I'm using it 1/4 at a time. I take some out, and put it in another tin, and that gives me my Probe fix for a couple of months.

Yeah I liked general mini mint at first I would say get a few cans of some tobacco flavored stuff like tre ankre mini and general white mini and use it occasionally to see if it grows on you since you only slightly disliked general white while I thought it tasted like vomit at first I'm pretty sure you'll like it eventually. Goteborgs rape mini or goteborgs rape No.2 (lingonberry flavored) is another good choice which I'm about to receive tomorrow myself, it's 8mg but it's weaker than say general white. Camel frost apparently toned down the sweetness a bit so that might work too but I haven't tried it recently so can't recommend it. I haven't had fellinni but it's 8mg a portion and not 4mg according to northerner.
