I can't believe that in 7 weeks of snus I have had a General ES los can sitting in my freezer under the assumption that I hate original snus. I tried General white portions and from there I made the decision that I hate anything other than flavored (wintergreen, Mint, Berry,Frosted) snus. I just cracked a can Of General Ekstra Sterk and I Love it. The citrus comes through and the Prilla even stays together perfect! The best part is that since half of the snus available is original where you can actually taste some tobacco a whole new world of snus is something I want to try. I'm sure this isn't ground breaking news to anyone else but a girl I had over here the other night left some 4 LOKO. I ran out of beer and gave it a shot. Tastes terrible but gets the job done. Hence the excited post I will regret later.

My very first try out box of snus had Grov OP in it, but I saved it for almost last thinking I wouldn't like a tobacco flavored snus. It ended up being one of the ones I liked best from the 24 tin box. It pays to keep an open mind with snus. Don't assume anything from past experiences with other products.

One of the favorite mantras of the forum is........your taste will change
Thus snus you tried and didn't like
or
the one you held off trying because you were sure you wouldn't like it
often become your favorite
Like LX said...............keep an open mind...........and don't throw anything away............freeze it and revisit it later.
Glad you are liking the losWhen it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Never cared for the flavored snus, myself! Then again, I've always been a Cope fan, so that explains that.
I used to smoke menthol cigarettes, so I did go out of my way to try a couple of brands' "mint" variety. Way too much mint in all of them; I guess I just prefer the dominant flavor to be tobacco.
This makes me wish there was a spot-on Cope-flavored snus. I'd gladly go pick up a tin of Cope any day of the week, but I can't bring myself to swallow it nor keep a spittoon (I'm sure my roommates wouldn't care for that nastyness.)

As a former menthol smoker, you might want to consider the new mild Blue Ocean; no mint taste but rather the coolness associated with menthol cigarettes.
My first impression was, 'A perfect snus for anyone who enjoyed/enjoys menthol cigs.'
Several portions into the can and that impression has not changed.
Jägarpris has that mentholated undertone but otherwise is so 'busy' flavorwise that I'm reminded of a long-forgotten throat lozenge of yesteryear. Not as mild as the Blue Ocean... more like a farm's barnyard that borders the blue ocean.

Hey, jagmanss, you got yours on ice?

It's like that for a lot of people. When I first started, my very first snus order was the General tasting kit. My first Swedish Snus to open was General White Portion. After using Camel for so long when I opened a real can of snus I about gagged. I went to flavored and it was all I used for a while, went through the mint phase, the Thunder Frosted phase, and then months later revisted General White and fell in love with it and traditional flavored snuses. The longer it's been the more I like them. Now I open a can of General and just LOVE the smell. It's weird how tastes can change and evolve.
