Only tried General (Mint, WG and original), Camel (WG), Marlboro (Forget flavor).

I started out on camel WG and thought it was ok. I got a bunch of general over a week ago and have been liking it.

Anyways, I just found a can of Camel WG I had from before I bought the general stuff......now it tastes like over-flavored barf! It's making me sick.

I've only had a few smokes since I started snus. I'm very happy with the experience!

Looking forward to mail order a few different brands/flavors. I'm looking for stuff about the same strength as General. What do you guys recommend?

Yeah, camel sucks bad. I recommend ettan los or portion if you prefer. Click white is pretty good, as is blue ocean and jagerpris, montecristo is a good one, jakobssons classic is ok. Also look into trying nasal snuff, there is a whole world of enjoyment there, as is with snus.

There's a huge range of snus available and almost all of them taste different so it's good to throw in a few different ones each time you order. I mostly use 02 and Skruf Xtra Sterk but have had a few from General, Röda Lacket, Romeo E Julieta and others. Most of them were portions and only recently I have ordered more Lös which, in my opinion, tastes better than the portions. I use 02 and general long mostly for the portion type, the Skruf I used for the Nic hit. To be honest I don't think these are the best brands and would recommend others. General Onyx Black would have to be my favourite snus as it had a certain sweetness about it, without straying too far away from the traditional snus taste but it wouldn't be my go-to snus. As I said earlier it's good to throw in a few different cans even after you have found your brand. Good luck with the snus hunting.

here's just a few recommandations:
(i'm a variety type of snuser but do have quite a few favorites :^)

Skruf ES los, Skruf Stark Los, Odens ES Kanel los, Odens Stark Los, Ettan Los, Ettan Original Portions, Offroad Los (all varieties), Phantom Los, General Es Los, Roda Lacket.

Most of your standard portions in any brand (regular or white) will be the same strength as General (~8 milligrams Nicotine)

Starks (strongs) will run around 11 milligrams

ES (Extra Stark) around 16 milligrams

Starks and ES are often used when x-smokers need a little more kick to curve their cigarette cravings. However, if the regulars are working for you I would stick with those (no reason to increase you nic tolerance unnecessarily). Just know they are there down the road if you need them.

My suggestion would be to get a sample box from Northerner to start off with. It will give you a nice selection and thus a good idea of the range of snus that is out there.

As always if you do not like something at first do not throw it away. Rather stick it in the freezer and plan to come back to it in a month or so. Your taste will change over time. Thus I do not recommend buying rolls of any one brand for the first 6 months or so.

Also you will eventually want to check out the snus auction and the snus exchange here at snuson. You can find some good deals there on snus.

Welcome to the forum, if you are looking to kick the smoking habit, snus (real Swedish snus) is the one for you! And like others have said, if you get something you don't like...save it and don't trash it. Your taste might change and you might find that you like that brand/flavor down the road.
