Flavor Help!

I received my first order of Swedish snus this week and jumped right in and tried them all (General: wintergreen, mint, dry mini mint and white)
I love the dry mini mint and the regular mint is O.K., but don't care much for the other two.
I know that as a woman my tastes are somewhat different and I smoked menthol cigarettes for 20 years.
Since most of you have been snusing for years I would greatly appreciate if any of you have any suggestions on what other kinds I might enjoy.

I don't buy that woman's tastes are different. Things that taste good, taste good to everyone. I suggest trying everything, and keep going back to the ones you rejected. Your tastes will change over time, and you'll likely start appreciating aspects of the rejected snus once you become accustomed to the flavor.

Welcome to Snuson. Glad to have another feminine presence around :^)

I also love mint and wintergreen (more the mint) in both snus and dip - I'm actually a regular dipper so yeah...

Since you like the dry mini mint and regular mint you might also enjoy several other flavors such as anisette, frosted (another type of mint), citrus and menthol, the chocolaty and earthy taste of Ettan Orginal Portion, and Eucalyptus, ....

I don't regularly use flavored snus, but all the above flavors are delicious (I'm also a loose snuser mostly) ...

My favorite brands are in my signature you might want to check them out.

(tastes differ from one to another, so I guess you'll have to try quite a few brands/varieties until you'll come up with your regular "to-go's snuses" ... :^)

Go for flavors that sound good to you. Don't throw out any snus as your tastes will change.

If you like the mint try the Thunder frosted minis. It is a delicious spearmint and it is an 8 mg mini to help quell cravings.

But try it all.

Gotland green has a taste resembling green apple in a way. It is pretty good if you want to venture away from mint a bit. Maybe it's just me, but although it states that it has 9mg of nicotine, it seems to hit me harder than any other regular portions. You could always go with Offroad Frosted too. It's my go to mint when I want something to "freshen my breath". I'm a big fan of Phatom Blue as well.

Crabs and other seafood are very big around here, as i'm sure you are aware of. Several of my friends constantly try to get me to eat crabs, fish, lobsters and other kinds of seafood. They all swear on their lives almost that what they are offering me tastes amazing and there is no way that I wouldn't like it, but yet if I actually try it, or in some cases smell it for too long, I will go outside and puke for a while, lol.

Moral of the story is that what some people may love and think is delicious, others may find disgusting.



For a snus recommendation, Id say click white, ettan portions or general smooth flavour, thunder coola is good to, but its extra sterk, best way to find a favorite is to try em all until you find something you like alot.

Well, the point I was trying to make, is I don't think taste follows sex. If you don't like licorice, you don't like licorice, but I don't think it's correct to say women don't like licorice. When my buddy went to Norway, he said the women he saw snusing were using Lucky Strike. It doesn't get much more "manly" than that. Girl stuff and boy stuff is a learned seperation, and everything should be taken on it's own merits, without preconceived notions.

Hell, to even see a woman dipping or snusing in America is rare. The whole act of smokeless tobacco generally seems more "manly" here. I honestly don't know one woman that uses anything other than cigarettes, not even cigars. Bravo Debaroo. Break the cycle!

Yeah try them all or as many as you can. Try to find as many ones you like as possible. It's good to have a variety of go-to flavors so you can switch them up and keep them from burning you out. Some people lock in on one or two they use and then their favorite magically goes out of production like POOF. There's so many great ones, I think you're going to have fun finding out what you like.

Welcome to the small group of female snusers around here. I don't think we have different tastes than men, but we tend to have a smaller mouth and want more discrete (mini) portion when in public.
The current Catch Vanilla Mint is delicious. It's only around for a few months, so try it soon.
From my experience of making samplers for menthol smokers, I would recommend starting with Northerner Citrus/Menthol, Fellinni mint (soon to be renamed Offroad white mini), Mocca Pomegranate or Thunder frosted mini (for the stronger needs). For larger size/home use, you may like Jakobssons Ice Fruit, or any of the Offroad and Thunder line. I would not rule out any flavor, especially after you get used to snusing. You might be surprised how your taste for suns will change the longer you use it. When you find the flavors you don't like, throw them in the freezer and revisit them down the road and you may be surprised at how good it tastes a few months later.

I think that a woman's taste can be different to a degree. Their body chemistry is slightly different than a man's and it certainly fluctuates a lot more. When my wife has her aunt in town her sense of taste changes. I don't know if it's 'cos her body is in overdrive producing more blood or what have you but though the years I've noticed a pattern. When a woman is pregnant it's tenfold. Their bodies go into a major protectionary state and taste has a lot to do with providing you with information about what you're putting in your body.

I do think that with snus it's so subtle that it might not make a difference especially with mint involved. I do suggest trying a snus from many different manufacturers though. The tobaccos they use have very different tastes, textures, etc. These differences are best perceived with plain tobacco snus of course. I bet you'd like Ettan, it's so smooth and chocolaty. Just keep trying new ones.

Certain flavors that I used to hate are now on the top of my fav. list.

Try thunder frosted minis. They are good. And Thunder original minis. Full size nicotine in a mini!

Also...if portion size is an issue in public you can cut a sterk or extra sterk in half. Works pretty well....cut side up when putting it on your mouth and the other half tuck gently in the tin for later use. I do this with Thunder portions.
