    First order came in

    Hey Guys,

Pretty stoked, just had a package come in from Northerner as well as 2 notes to pick up and pay duty on two others. The order that came in tax free was 3 lucky strike, an Ettan Los and a Roda Lacket Los. Took exactly 7 days for the duty free package of 5 to be delivered and 2 weeks for the ones that got caught by customs.

The ones that got nailed were 9 cans and 6 cans. I may start ordering just 4 to see how well that goes.

The 9 cans were taxed an additional 78.55 for a total of 120.81 averaging 13.42 a can
The 6 cans were taxed an additional 31.70 for a total of 64.68 averaging 10.73 a can
With my 5 that came in tax and duty free it brings my total average per can to 10.73. Still cheaper than smoking! I'm going to keep a tally of every purchase and tax and duty, including the ones that slip by customs so that the Canadian community will have something to go on.

I have a sneaking suspicion though that PremiumParrots is going to get a fair amount of my orders once I find something I like that he has in stock.

Have a Lucky strike original portion in now. So far it is not as strong, salty as I suspected or as flavourful.. but I like it and sure I will develop a taste for it. These Lucky Strike cans are pretty sweet too! I can't pick up the others until tomorrow but its an array of different flavours and I am officially ecstatic I found Snus!

Crazy hiccups just hit me! Must mean its working

Thank you to everyone that's involved with this community, I never would have found Swedish Snus if it were not for you and probably would never have quit smoking.

*edit* For the past two weeks I've been relying on Camel Snus to quit smoking and its worked*

    Cheers!

I envy you for the Lucky Strikes, but not the charges! Ouch!

At $10.73/can I would probably go back to smoking. No, on second thought I would snuff through my 3-5 year nasal snuff stockpile first, smoke my 1-2 year pipe tobacco stash, and then go back to smoking.

      Canada. Crazy.

But congrats on quitting smoking and enjoy the hell out of your snus journey.

Yeah its a little steep but a pack of 25 cigarettes here cost between $10-12 depending on what you smoke.. and the quitting smoking has had an unexpected result in that I quit drinking as much as I used to.. so either way its a definite win win. To put it into perspective, a can of Skoal or Copenhagen cost a little over $16. Its really bullshit and unfortunate but Snus gets tied together with all the main cancer causing products.

Don't even get me started on the price of alcohol.. but 12 beer cost me $22.00. So I'm kind of used to over paying for my vices

Its too early to tell what my cost average is going to be since 2 got nailed and 1 made it through. I expect to get down in around $8-9 a can via Northerner shipments.

Hey bro, I feel your pain. Our booze and tobacco taxes are nucking futs. Not a big drinker myself as I'm from BC and have EZ access to a buzz that I find much more enjoyable than booze ......and I'm not talking about a nic hit! I'm with you on the Lucky Strike products.......I've bought every product in the LS line and have been pleased with their contents........ and those cans are the coolest out there.

Anyway, personally, I've had 9 of 12 orders from the Northerner Swedish warehouse get through with no BS customs & tax. I make small orders of 5 cans at a time. Seems to help.
Sounds like you're like me and have switched over from cigs to Swedish snus. Good on ya'......it's a nice ride.

where in Canada r u at?

New Brunswick here and yeah I hear ya on the green, plenty of it around here too and for a decent price. Probably not as good but it does the trick lol

And yeah I'm going to have to start ordering 4-5 cans at a time. That way if a few get nabbed then it wont be all that bad. Cheers and thanks for the advice!
