    New to snus, some questions!

Just bought my first can of snus today, Offroad licorice portion (its allright)
    But here are some questions:

    1. I walked to my store and bought only 1 can of snus. To try it out. Do i have to put only 1 opened can in the fridge? Or can i just keep it in my room ??

    2. Im a hockey player. Does snus make my condition bad? like cigarettes do?

    Thanks

    1. I would keep only one can opened at a time. Keep unopened cans refrigerated.

    2. Snus doesn't affect athletic ability like cigarettes. In fact, snus is popular among hockey and football players.

      1. If you plan to only buy local and one can at a time, I would say it is safe to leave it out of the fridge till it's done. SnusJus is right, keep unopened can in the fridge.... I would add that if you choose to order online and order more cans/variety that you keep anything you aren't going to use for the day in the fridge. I have and keep like 4-5 cans open at any one time and only take what I will use when I go to work or whatever. If you are buy rolls of snus (10 cans) you may want to put long term storage in the freezer.

      2. Snusjus is right again....... As long as you keep those chompers brushed you will see little to no adverse effects.*

*I'm not a doctor but it's true none the less.

PS welcome to SnusOn! Where you a smoker before?

If you are looking to breathe free, snus is the way to go. No 300+ chemicals to fight either. Youre backing a winning horse.

Renico you are indeed lucky to be able to just walk to a store to buy Swedish snus considering the array of impediments imposed by the blithering idiots at the FDA, and Congress of course, on ordering it online. Snus, of whatever kind, will have zero impact on your athletic performance and therein lies the beauty of the product. Some of the warning labels indicate that it is addictive which of course anyone with an IQ higher than that of an eggplant knows perfectly well already but all the other alarmist warnings you will see pasted on the cans are purest bunk--flat out lies--and harmful lies at that because snus is an excellent, if not the best, way to quit smoking and therefore its use should be encouraged. But no the venal jackasses at the FDA, confronted by zero U.S. data that Swedish snus is harmful and plentiful studies from abroad that indicate it is harmless, have chosen to toady to anti-tobacco extremists who would rather gnaw off an arm than admit that any tobacco product whatsoever is without harm. Consequently warnings on snus cans, with the one obvious exception, are egregiously false and should be ignored.

Now none of that should be interpreted to mean that you will absolutely be able to tolerate snus as everyone's reactions and nicotine tolerance varies, especially with very strong versions, but if for whatever reason it turns out you cannot tolerate it and must stop there will be no long term consequences to its use whatsoever. Go ahead, indulge and explore the many varieties, you will not be sorry. And oh yeah keep on asking the questions.

On #2, I don't know if this is just me - but I find that when I run/swim (my form of exercise) and I have a snus in - I tend to perform better and have more energy. Maybe it's the healthy dose of Vitamin N.

Welcome to the forum Renico! This is just from my experience:

#1) refrigeration is not necessary but highly recommended, especially if you wont be using the snus in the near future. I use the ziplock vacuum bagging system it costs about 6$ USD and allows you too vacuum pack and freeze your snus for long periods. I have a few cans that expired last november and theyre still just as fresh as they were when they arrived. Not to mention theres no better feeling on a warm day than that first frozen portion.

#2) I am a US Army Soldier and work in Law Enforcement. Physical fitness is very important to performing my daily duties. I run approximately 4-6 miles every other day and it's not uncommon for me to have a swedish snarl on my face running down the road. Sterks tend to give me a boost of energy even. But I wouldnt run with Odens Extreme, unless you want a gnarly case of the running shits...

I totally agree with number 1 up there. nothing better than the cold feel of a portion inside of your lip, and as far as no. 2, i am clueless, as i sit in an office day in and day out, however, it has made it easier to sneak up on my boss without wheezing. and my asthma has improved significantly in a months time.

                      best of luck... and welcome.

                      xoxo,

                          2. Snus is used by many ice hockey players here in Sweden, more than you can imagine.
