New to this forum, and to snus. :)

Hi all, been lurking the past few weeks so figured it was time to say Hi. I started using snus 2 weeks ago as a quit smoking aid, and it's working brilliantly so far, not missing the cigarettes at all!

I'm originally from UK but living in Norway so it's easy enough to get snus here, but unfortunately have to pay a bit more for it in the shops, as unable to order online. Still much cheaper than smoking though.

Been using the "lady" snus so far and really enjoying them, mostly mini portions, Mocca mint & Mocca lakris. Also liking Catch mint medium portion. Averaging about 4/5 a day at the mo.

Well, that's it from me. Hope to see you around the forum

              Thanks all!
Looking forward to trying a few different flavours soon, thinking of General mini next, as have only had flavoured (mint, licorice, cranberry) types so far. Trying to use one can at a time so I haven't got a bunch of them open at once.
Shops here in the south of Norway seem to have a pretty similar stock in all the shops, but it's enough to keep me experimenting for a while. My husband is hopefully going to Sweden with work in the next few weeks so shall be asking him to bring me a few cans to try.

In our town we have a ferry going over to Denmark, so I was pretty bummed out when I found that they don't sell snus there (was really hoping for some cheap snus!) but does anyone know if using it is a problem? we go to Denmark quite often and would hate to get in trouble for it Same goes for traveling to the UK, would there be any questions at customs if they saw little white pouches? lol.

I don't believe so unless you have 4-5 rolls of it hanging out of yer pocketbook/purse/backpack also if you like Berry flavored snus i would give Skruf Tranbar and Goteborgs Rape' #2 a try

and welcome to the forums congrats on quitting Cigs

Thanks Sirloot, I tried the Skruf Tranbar, kind of liked it but found the pouches were pretty huge! Something to get used to I guess. I don't remember if my local store sells Goteborg Rape', but i'll check. Thanks for the suggestions.

You should read SnusGirl.com, her blog is informative. She started with minis, and now she is up to using Extreme. It might be relative to you.

yeah looks like skruf may be heading toward a slim portion for some or most of their snus ..similar in size to the catch pure mint portion .. also i believe the GR #2 has a mini i'll have to check and confirm nope looks like the Goteborgs Rape (juniper flavor) not #2 is in mini form .. also Tre Ankare has a mini if you like tobacco/herbal flavors

                          Welcome Lulie,

Loose snus is sold here, if you're into that. I don't think you'll get in trouble for having portions with you, since up until Sweden cut the supply lines, we had no issues ordering them.

Thanks for this, good to know. the Catch mint size is fine, so look forward to hopefully some slim portions from Skruf.

Headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, Fielder & Lundgren is probably the oldest snus manufacturing name in Sweden. Started as a company in 1835, F & L's history has been full of name changes but one thing that has stayed consistent thru out it's 175 year existence, is it's commitment to producing quality Swedish snus.

Even though the company was started in 1835, it was Samuel Fielder who applied for permission to manufacture snus in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1785. Today, Fielder & Lundgren produces
