    Hello hello

I'm from Belgium, but now living in Sweden for a year. Brought some tabaco with me from Belgium but after a while that's all gone offcourse. So went to a shop to buy some new one, and to my suprise, it was really crazy expensive over here. About 3x the price I'm used to. Never liked 'normal' cigarettes, so that wasn't really an option. Asked why tabaco was so expensive over here, and they told me nobody even buys that. They smoke regular cigs or they use snus. 'Snus'??? I had never heard of that. So they pointed to some sort of fridge with all round cans, and told me it was like nic-gum but instead of chewing it, you had to put it in your lip and just leave it there. So I was curious and bought one. Lucky Strike Original Portion. That was the only brand I knew, so seemed like a logical choice. So came home and tried one. And I loved it. Bit of a burning feeling in your lip and a nice strong taste. So went looking for some info on this stuff, and come across these forums. Some really good info here.
Was smoking about 15 cigs a day, and noticed that the last 4 days, when I'm also using snus, I only smoke about 3 or 4 cigs a day. So guess I can as well try to stop smoking all the way.

I have a couple of questions though.
I'm working here as a dog handler/trainer/guide with sleddogs, so I live pretty far from a city and I don't have a car here. So was looking to buy some online but it seems like none of the online-shops ships inside Sweden. That country isn't even listed. So is there an online shop that does send withing Sweden and accept creditcard payments?
Has someone ever tried to make some tea off it? That is something I was wondering. It kinda looks like a tea bag, some even contain tea... so I bet some must have tried that allready. How did it taste?

Sounds like my story, wen't from 14 cigs a day till 2, till none - quitting with snus can be quite easy.
And quitting cigarettes was the best thing I ever did. I generally feel a lot better

There is a few things to answer here :P
I think it will be hard to find an online shop that sells inside Sweden, so you should just buy a ton and freeze 'em down.

And I can not stress this enough - DO NOT MAKE TEA OF IT, it is not made for this and it will not work.
I do believe it might even be somewhat dangerous?

And of course WELCOME! - I hope you'll enjoy it here, it's a great community.
So what kind of brand have you used so far? And if you've only tried portioned you might want to have some lös(Loose) for home use since the taste is often a lot more intense.
But most importantly just enjoy your snus!

If you were to make a tea from any tobacco it would be the tobacco used in snus as it should be air-cured and pasteurised but... it's a no-no. Don't do it. Please!

I was not planning to try to make tea off it myself, but it was something that came to mind when I first opened the box, saw the portions (like little tea bags) and smelled the aroma. And I can't believe nobody will have tried it yet.

I don't have a freezer here, but I'm up all north, so guess I can just leave them outside the next months
Only tried Lucky Strike Original Portion. Just bought one can to see if I liked it or not. Now I wish I bought more, cause next time I see a shop will be in 2 or 3 weeks, but guess I have to stock up then. Lös is certainly on the list to try. But as you say, for home use. Will be standing on a sled for 8-10 hours a day the next months, and I don't see myself baking a pris on a moving sled when it's -40°C...

Brother - consider it a challenge that must be completed.. I've packed one whilst running for the train once.. Everything is possible with snus! But yeah you are right, portions are probably better then.. But for when you're sitting still baking a pris is nice

                    Welcome to snuson

If you - against all that is holy - do decide to make snus tea, please make a video of your first taste. Wouldn't miss it for the world... hehehe

Sweet job you have! You /may/ be able to order Gellivare products within Sweden. I believe they're up north also. It's lös only, and very challenging to handle bare handed, but it's one of my favorite snuses.

                            http://www.gellivaresnus.se/

For the snus tea, give it a try if you like. I don't think it'll taste good, and it may make you sick while wasting snus, but there's no lasting damage. It'll at least give you a funny story to tell so the Swedes can laugh at you :^D
