    hello

hi everyone. my name is dave. im from maine, have 2 kids, and im a college student studying electrical automation.
i have been a vaper for over a year now. i have decided to switch to snus in the hopes that i will finally get the satisfaction that vaping just doesnt provide.
the one question that i havent been able to find the answer to is: what strength snus should i start with. when i was a smoker, i smoked a pack or 2 a day of marlboro reds. since i started vaping i have used 24-36mg liquid and vape non stop. any advice would be much appreciated.
    thanks,
    dave

    Welcome to SnusOn!

I'm anti stark, so I recommend regular snus, but I'm sure someone will come along and recommend a stark for you :^D

Try a few different kinds, and see what hits the spot. Everyone's different, and it's hard to say what you'll end up liking.

Man, I leave Maine and now the Maine snusers start popping up. Which college you going to now? I was at UNE, way down south in Biddeford for almost 2 years. Between the crushing boredom of reckless drinking in the winter (we were 5 miles outside the nearest town, and though I'd ride my bike in to work, I wasn't walking just to see if anything was going on) and the plague of mosquitoes in the summer, I couldn't take it any more. Perhaps more importantly, I couldn't afford to go to school any more when my tuition went up.

I mostly use starks myself, but there's no harm just using regular strength ones. If I have people trying snus, the "I smoke two pack a day'ers" who demand a stark because of their perceived high tolerance are the only ones I've seen get sick. It's a different method of absorbing nicotine, so your tolerance is basically set back to nil. You'd be surprised how hard the regular strength ones will hit you.

Now they tell me they're anti-stark. After over 200 cans of regular, stark and extra stark were placed in my freezer.
Man I must be screwed now....

I'm going to use mostly regular's , and a few starks, once my Pact Stash finally runs out.

            Welcome fellow snuser!
I'd say start out with a can or two of regular snus.
Should start with lös - 'cause you don't want to get too attatched to portions :-)
And if you don't feel the nic hit, just get yourself some strong/stark cans.

I second the suggestion to try a variety................ of both flavor and strength........... to see what works for you.

Also remember your taste and strength preference will change so don't order anything in bulk just yet. Most begin loving a flavored snus (Thunder mint, for example) but eventually gravitate towards the more natural or classic snus flavors.

              Anyway...........welcome to the forum!!!!

I second everything he says, especially the thing about flavoured snus. I've grown a bit weary of mint portions already.

                      Welcome sooper!
Im a pretty new snuser too. I also use snus to keep me off cigs. I usually like one or two strongs and the rest regular in a day. I think for flavors you should start out with a variety of well reviewed products and see what you like!

a variety is what im going to order. i havent smoked for over a year now i quit when i switched to ecigs, but ecigs have become boring and a pain in the butt. with vaping i miss the simplicity of just grabbing a smoke and lighting it up. snus solves this for me (just pop in a pris and go). with vaping it is constant battery charging and changing, inconsistent quality of product, constant filling and cleaning. im tired of it. i have known about snus for a long time, and used it a few times, but now that im going to stop vaping and just snus, i thought i would do a little more research.
