Hey everyone. I've been a dipper for 6 years since i was 14!!!! How terrible. I recently came across snus and found some at a local smoke shop and although it was wintergreen ( my most hated flavor) i really enjoyed it. I made an order online for some odens extreme loose thunder frosted and odens white portion, from NOrtherner. However, I was double charged (although it was later returned) and my card number was stolen shortly after. I've used several cards for several online orders of other things from different sites but the first time i used that card online on northerner it was stolen. This leaves me in a bind. I have a nice shipment of 12 cans right now coming in monday but my worries is where do i get my snus next? I don't want to knock on northerner or anything but its safe to say I never want to order snus online again with the double charging the possibility with customs if i order overseas and so on. So where can i buy? The smoke shop i went to was just trying to "get rid of a bunch of crap noone ever wanted" so they're out. and my online endeavors are pretty much over in the snus market. I've looked at all of the general store locators and there arent any in my area that are recorded. However, I'm getting my brother in law to try to make the switch with me. They live in virginia beach and ive seen and messaged a few posters here from the area asking if they can find any around there. so my question is. Does anyone know anywhere around the virginia beach area with snus? and if there is. How can my brother in law mail it to me without getting in trouble, as im not exactly sure of the rules of mailing tobacco and such as of now. I really appreciate any help and if you've got the time maybe you can offer suggestions for me to try. I've always been a big copenhagen long cut fan but I can't continue to put that much toxic filth in my mouth. Of the snus i've tried so far i really enjoyed the general white portion. I wish i could have tried los by now but i havent been able to. Any suggestions are great (i hate wintergreen) thank you.
New with some questions

I have yet to have a problem ordering snus online.
Check General's store locator and snusdistribution.com for stores that sell snus.

However, my first online purchase with that card on northerner turned into an absolute nighmare, as I had several small unauthorized charges between the time i ordered and when i woke up the next morning. I had seen a few virginia beach snusers during the time i lurked so i was hoping they might be able to inform me of where my brother in law and I could buy some locally rather than online. And just a side question. does every site give you a "pre-authorization" charge like northerner does, making it so i have to have double the amount in my account to order?
Maybe try a prepaid card for online purchases.

Dont get me wrong I'd love to go ahead and place a 300 can order, but if that 1000 purchase is charged as a 2000 purchase with 1000 being refunded to me later and then my card is stolen and drained again im going to be in quite a bit of rage.

I was thinking of calling ahead of time and trying to setup a large order with one of those stores as my friend will have no idea what to get me. I also seem to remember someway to buy a "virtual" credit card. Where i basically buy an online credit card with my credit card so i could just put the ammount i need for my order to avoid double charges and such. Any insight onto either plan?

I would also call Northerner and let them know about both the precharges and the theft. IMO that is something they will want to know at once. If their security was breached they will need to resolve that immediately. If their site is no longer secure, I doubt a single person here will order from them until it is.
That said, this is the first I have ever heard of anything like what has happened to you. I hope it was just a fluke of bad luck.
Anyway, I'd call them and then I'd go the prepaid route. One thing I would not do is use a debit card on line. It is just too risky.
Keep us posted and I hope your experiences will be smooth sailing from here on out.
In the meantime.............check out the Dipper's Guide to snus. There are a lot of x dippers here and you might find some of the info there relevant. You can find it here
