An envelope could easily get mangled by a machine, or poor handling, and they'd know what's inside. What would they do about it? Who knows? I don't know, and no one else here does either. All we know is what they /could/ do, so that's what has to be assumed. All it takes is one postmaster with a hard on, to make your life very unpleasant for awhile, and people need to be aware of that possibility.
Fair enough... But I never said what shikitohno posted was incorrect... I stated that it's unnecessary BS and think it's a scare tactic and really didn't need to be posted, to what end did it serve, But to confuse the OP and be a scare tactic ..... And will even go a step further and say it's 99.9% risk free, i never stated it was risk free... I have been snusing for 2 yrs and have sent snus Via USPS and have never seen or heard of anyone on this forum say... I got busted by USPS for sending snus... Can it happen? Of course... Can I get hit buy a car walking into the street tomorrow of course... Will I?... Doubt it, But it could happen and I'm aware of that possibility

Thunder_Snus now knows there is a slight and might add very very very very slight risk... Not enough to be worried about at all in my opinion.... Nuff said...

I'd write "snus tins" sloppily on the customs declaration, and hope for the best. I honestly wouldn't worry about any kind of tracking. It'll either get to it's destination, or it won't. Spending extra money won't change that.

Jagmans, I hardly think it's unnecessary BS or a scare tactic. Obviously I'm not too worried about being caught myself, as I've dropped stuff in the mail. It's not like I wrote "OMG, they're gonna catch you and put you in jail, and you'll get made into an ex-clown's bitch if you even think about it." I pointed out I was only throwing that bit in the cover my ass, too. I don't understand what you found so terrible in it, but I think your reaction was a bit silly. I'm just giving him the situation as it stands, you're content to leave him fumbling around in the dark on the matter with a quick "Don't worry about it, it'll all be cool." With what I posted the OP has the chance to make an informed decision of risks vs rewards.

Wow. I feel obligated to express my apologies for this debate. The only problem is I'm in a bit of a bind, as I really have no way to ever be home to sign for my snus. My first order was a one time thing when i happened to have the day off of school and work, which wont happen again for a very long while. I was simply looking for a way to maybe get a few friends from across the country a chance to try some and send the rest to me. It would even save me a few bucks as some of them live in very low tax rate states.

I wouldn't worry too much about starting the debate, something like this is only a matter of time before we have this argument between a couple people.

I would ship it to my friend and have him re-mail if in a priority mail box to me.

If it is taped up so it won't come open you should be fine.

They still need a warrant to open first class mail in the US....or at least I think they do.

my problem isn't not being home. Its I'm never home when ups comes at quite a precise time as i live in a small town so ups just has a quick trip through here, Also the nearest location i could pick up from is also quite a distance. If you can see my predicament.
