    General White Portion

I'm a somewhat recent smoker and I quit for snus. I've used General dry mini mint before and loved it, so I decided to order some General white portion. I'm not a fan of the flavor and smell :/ . Is this type of snus an acquired taste? I'm sure it will grow on me, but as of now almost through my first can, I'm kind of disappointed that I bought 10 cans I guess I should have just got General mint portion or something else.

Sometimes it takes a while for a snus to grow on you. Get a can of mint and revisit the white periodically. When I first tried it I didn't care for it either. Now it is in my rotation.

The taste is one that has been acquired in Scandinavia for a long time but not so much here. The sour citrus taste is an Italian fruit called bergamot and it has been around in snus for decades but it is almost entirely foreign to American palates. No matter how tasty the description of a snus sounds I don't recommend springing for a whole roll of anything until you've tried out a can first.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I can just start drinking Earl Gray tea and snusing at the same time to develop a taste for it . To me, the snus tastes kind of like a lemony pepper flavor with a hint of your regular tobacco oils flavor. If you've ever smoked a medium-high quality cigar, you know what I'm talking about.

Can you guys recommend a snus that doesn't taste like candy, but is a little lighter on this flavor? Thanks.

There are lots of straight tobacco flavored snus that don't have the bergamot type flavor. I would recommend Ettan, Grovsnus. 01, Roda Lacket, and no doubt others will join in with there take of what's good in the snus world.

Thanks. What is the cheapest way to get snus? Since I have one store near me that sells General (mint only) and they have limited hours. These cans came out to about $5 each after shipping
