    Snus noob with some questions?

    Hi

I just started to enkoy snus experience. I am trying to quit smoking with snus and purchased 3 boxes of fine Goteborg White large snus. I read on the boxes it is used best before 23.11.2011. The problem is I only snus 2 portions per day and will not use all the snus till the expiration date. Is there any way to store it to avoid problems (maybe freezin it etc). I store my boxes in refrigerator at all times. I keep my snus in my mouth for about 45 minutes and so far so good. It seems like a good alternative to smoking and my lungs feel much better already. I must only to get used to saliva dripping at about 30 minutes onward. Hi to all the members.

    Welcome to SnusOn!

The fridge is fine for your time frame. The date they use is "soft", and it's fine long after it's past. I have 4 year old snus that's been frozen, and it's perfectly good.

        Welcome!

I usually store my snus in the fridge 3 weeks till best before date, then ziplock vacuum pump system them into the freezer.

                Welcome to the mad house.

I store my snus like I do my women, double bagged and in the freezer.

                    Hi decorator36. Welcome.

"I must only to get used to saliva dripping at about 30 minutes onward. "

As far as I am concerned, Once a portion gets too gooey and/or drippy, (30 -40 minutes in for me usually) it is spent and time for a new one.

Everything seems to be going fine. I am getting used to snus and it really cuts down my craving for the cigarettes. The only little problem is sometimes in the morning I got the feeling my upper lip is a little swollen. Anyone else experienced this in the beginning?

Keep moving the portions around, you will toughen up the tissue in no time, the portions can be a little rough, then there is the salt. Change up a lot.

First off, hi there. Welcome to snuson!

Dont over think your snusing. Its not very complicated and the more you snus they more you will figure out what works for you. My advice is to listen to the guys who have been around here for a while. There are about 15 guys on this forum who will answer any question you have and are actually great people to talk to about things other than snus ( a few of them already posted in this thread). Consider snuson more of a coffee shop style forum where we sit around and talk snus and anything else. Visit the People Around You[/I] forum if you want to ever talk off topic.

Please check back in with us when you get a chance and let us know how your doing with your new adventures in snus.

                              Clint B.
