I used snuff (Griz) for about 6 years, then started experimenting with the Skoal snus early last year for more concealed use and while riding a motorcycle. Of course the American snus products left much to be desired, but I did notice that snus was much easier on the gums and really liked that.
Then last summer I discovered a local tobacco shop that sold real snus (General and some others) and switched it full time. But now they've stopped selling General, and I think their prices are a little too high anyway ($6 for Jakobsson & Thunder, $4.25 for Offroad)....so I need to start ordering online.
So here's what I've tried...
General original, mint, and wintergreen white portions - Really liked the original for my main snus, with occasional wintergreen. And I also prefer the white portion because it seems to last longer without the bag falling apart. Maybe nitpicky, but I also like how the General white portions are packed in a spiral and each packet is well packed so it has a nice mouthfeel when you first put one in.
Thunder extra strong frosted and coola - Enjoy the extra kick, but really did not like the taste of coola, and the frosted is not good for daily use. The packets also seem to fall apart on me if I have one in for more than 30 min or so.
Offroad original and frosted - Same thing with the frosted here...not good for daily use, and the original is too bland. The store here list it was 8mg nicotine, same as general, but I really wonder about that.
Jakobsson strong mint and original - Found the original pretty awful, and the mint overpowering. Also don't like that you only get 20 pouches.
---------------
Anywho...putting my first order together here if you read all that blabbering....
1 roll General, White Portion
1 roll General Strong, White Portion
1 can Nick & Johnny Crushed Ice, Strong White
1 can Odens 69, White Portion
Wondering if there are any other white portion types I should definitely give a try. I would also try some other regular portions and extra strongs if there's some must try products for snus aficionados.
Thanks for any help!
