how to get this site to reload your post/comments?

Hi- sorry if this is in the wrong place. I can not get this site to load/view my post or comments unless i sign out, delete my cookies etc., and then log back in.

You're doing something pretty horribly wrong then. Which OS and browser are you using? Do you have some sort of plugin like NoScript running that might be interfering with the site? You've got to give us some more details on this before we can help. Is it only on this particular computer, or does it effect your account regardless of which computer you use to access it? Relevant details about the computer that this problem is happening on can help us solve your problem a lot faster than us trying to guess.

And this is almost certainly the wrong place. Until we get a tech help/site errors sub-forum, I'd recommend putting threads like this in "People & World Around Us." Of course, I'm known for caring more about these things than others here, so 99% of the forum probably doesn't care. Depending on the mod's mood, this thread might get moved over their.

Something still isn't right, though. You shouldn't have to do that much, even. I hit 'Post', and see my comment appear at the bottom of the thread without refreshing the page.

I have to say i haven't checked in, in awhile but it's stupid posts like this that is the reason. This isn't last comic standing and your not funny eric. Give it a break. Between the incessant pics and google posts it's rather tiring. I know for a fact I'm not the only one who feels this way. We're not in highschool anymore and most people never really liked the class clown any way....... think about it........ We all have and know how to use google........

This is a battle you're not going to win Bigblue. SnusOn has a tendency to be way more hands off with moderation than most other forums would be. Some people see it as a plus, other's like you and I would prefer a more traditional board. Unfortunately, we seem to be decidedly in the minority, so we can either get used to the inane posts, or go find another forum. I just skip over posts by users that do things that piss me off on a regular basis. I'm pretty sure the site has an ignore feature at your command. Otherwise, get to googling "snus forum" and hope you find something more to your tastes.

I was going to say quit using a text based browser but it seems to be working fine for me

I could actually get by fine with just links for the most part, if only I figured out what magic I needed to do to make it save cookies for longer. Gets a bit annoying having to log in so often because I went and visited another website and came back. Of course, I haven't really looked into fixing it either, so it's probably not too hard. Could probably just use surfraw, too.

Edit: Should have looked into surfraw more before saying that. The way people talked about it, I assumed it was a webbrowser of its own.

next time you log in at the top, check the box "remember me" or something like that.

Dude... like... really? Learn to laugh more, humor is part of being human. I find Eric's timing to be perfect in most cases. If you don't like it just ignore them, nobody is making you read them.
