    New here, hello!

    Hi all!
First post on these forums. I've been reading them for a few days and think they're great. Gets me hype about snus!

A little about my snus experience so far:

My first taste of Snus was General White portion about 2 years ago when I use to work as a waiter in a high end steakhouse in NYC. There was a Barclay and Rex near by and I'd stopped in after a patron filled me in on "what his little tin" was one evening. I wanted to stop smoking, and hence bought a tin. I loved it! I snus'ed alot but never quite gave up the cigs. Eventually I quit the restaurant and with that snus as well. It somehow just slipped by without much thought.

Fast forward to about last week when I got the bug for snus again ever since seeing it at a local gas station. They had the "Original Blend" and "Nordic". I got the blend for nostalgia, and although I wasn't too keen on this new blend/portion for the US market, it got me started again.

I researched a bit for places to buy in NJ, as I no longer go to NYC for work.
Found a spot about 30 miles away from my house, and about 5 miles away from my families house. Promptly drove over on the motorcycle, and was greeted my a large (haha!) selection of 6 types. This was more then I had ever had in NYC which was limited to the General line. Had a great ride on the way back on the bike with some General Portion -- hence the name Snusbike!

    I got:
1.)Odens Extra Sterk Los (By accident got the los, but no experience with los @ all here yet. Tried one pris and it didn't work out to well with staying in place.)
2.) 2 Cans of General Original Portion (My favorite snus so far)
3.) 01 Long Portion (Came home to find out this was expired since 9/8/2011 . Not sure whether to use or not?)

    Otherwise I've had:
    General Portion
    General White Portion
    General Wintergreen
    General Mini Mint

And thats my story with snus pretty much! I'd say less than 20 tins of all Swedish Stuff altogether. I was going to place a larger order on buysnus.com but saw this forum first and thought it'd be great to join as from what I've read you guys have good discussion on here. Also looks like a great place to get some clarification on these new taxes and where the best place would be for deals, and just trying new snus with you guys!

Now also... Quick question to you guys.
I happen to have a close cousin who lives in Sweden.
Can this resource be harnessed in anyway to make procuring the stuff here in the US any easier/cheaper than through online means?

Glad to be a part of the forums here!

Welcome to SnusOn! The 01 won't be harmful to you, but the taste may not be the best. The only way you can tell is by trying it. Your cousin can send you snus through the mail, and it would be a bit cheaper, but it also could get seized by USPS. The only way to know for sure is to try it.

At least no problems for me shipping snus from EU to US via regular mail, every single package has cleared customs and delivered to receiver. Quantities that I have sent were between 3-20 cans.

And ofcourse welcome to forum mate!

        Welcome to the forum mate

Man I would be on the phone with my cousin ......like now. Tell him/her to grab you a mix of about ten different types.......and see what happens......

Keep us posted on how it turns out.....I could always use a cousin in Sweden :>)
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

If it can be done someone on this forum has done it... Welcome Snusbike I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for here... Although for what it's worth you must experience Snus in the classic Lös (loose) form like Ettan, General or Göteborgs Prima Fint to really understand the art of which the Swedes are so proud.

              Hi!

Well as far as the price its pretty much the same in the stores here in sweden as its on ex: buysnus.com.
there are snus that aint sold on the websites or may be hard to get, then you could ask him to buy some and send by mail =)

sry if my spelling aint perfect (from sweden).
