New to snus and forums...Have a question for you

Hello folks. I'm relatively new to snus. I've tried the Marlboro snus in an attempt to quit smoking cigarettes to no avail. Been doin a little reading the last couple days and it looks like I should be trying something a little better and a little stronger. Followed some links to a few recommended online shops and found a few cans l think I'd like to try.

Does anyone knows a brick and mortar store in Virginia, preferably in/around Richmond, where I can just go and purchase some snus. This would save me some shipping charges and a lot of headache chasing down packages. Pluls I like the idea of being able to browse through an assortment of choices before making my decision on what to try first.


I'm looking forward to learning a lot here and hopefully contributing a bit as I get more into snusing.

I don't see anything from snusdistribution.com. You may luck into some General, but even with a well stocked USA store(fairly rare), you won't get anywhere near the selection you'd get online.

Thanks for the tip. Found a recent article saying that Swedish Match (which apparently has their US Headquarters right here in Richmond) distributes snus products through a local tobacco shop chain. One of which is across the street from my apt . I'll have to stop in there tomorrow and see what they have. I'm pretty new to snus so I probably won't know the difference between good and bad at this point anyway

They should have General, and /maybe/ Ettan, but those are the only SM products currently imported for B&M sales.

I ran into a problem getting it too. I have no problem ordering it and waiting, waiting for the first round was rough though. But if you work a monday - friday 8-5 kinda job it's hard because you have to be home to sign for the package. I have an account with UPS where i can pre-sign for deliveries but tobacco products are excluded. I work from home so it's usually ok, but in a few weeks I'm moving back to the office full-time, not sure what I will do then.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I actually live about a 5 min walk from the Havana Connections on Rittenhouse. I work Mon-Fri and usually log 60-65 hrs a week so it's even difficult to get to the B&M stores until the weekend. As soon as I get in there I'll report back with any success and hopefully some info on what, if any, snus they carry for anyone else on here who might be living in my area.
