I listen to everything. Usually metal, but you won't find one genera I don't listen to.
From Alyson krauss to king diamond, from the sugar hill gang to 2pac, drop kick murphy's to sublime etc.
I love my old vinyl collections too.

Just caught a set of Harman/Kardon Soundsticks 3 on sale!
These are the most incredible computer speakers I have heard to date, and I am a bit of an audiophile! I haven't replaced my old ones I have had since 05 due to not finding anything worthy of being their successor. They do require some desk space though for the Sub, but well worth it since I needed to clean off my desk anyway.
Amazing, Alison Krauss will take your take your breath away, with these she is performing a naughty dance in your ear drums.
Bond (the music group) are normally stunning, now its like a concert on my desk, my face is sore I haven't smiled this much in a long time!
They sound better than my surround sound system, and they have 1/4 of the RMS rating. Honestly if they played blu-rays I would replace my surround system with another set.
Now to pop in some Type O Neg, a General regular portion, some Jim Beam black on the rocks and mellow out for bedLife is good sometimes.

I listen to just about everything. I'm not a big fan of pop country (I like the older stuff), but anything else is alright by me. If you check out my ipod, I have everything from Amy Winehouse, to Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Amon Amarth, Morphine, Primus, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Biggie Smalls, Frank Sinatra, Hank Williams, Hank III, etc etc. I'm not a picky guy.
If it isn't pop country, and it isn't Justin Beiber, chances are it's okay by me.

Metal, black metal, thrash metal, speed metal, death metal, groove metal, grindcore, deathcore, all the cores lol, hardcore (Sick of it All rule!!), Ska punk, 90s US Punk (Rancid, NOFX etc), hate to use the term but what they called grunge (Soundgarden etc) I am an 80s and 90s kid so this was all ours growing up, I miss those days sometimes. I like classical music and opera too so an eclectic mix as I often find many similarities to metal and classical music. I also don't mind the proper old skool hip hop from the 80s, it had soul and a message not just, move bitch get out the way! I also find I tend to listen to the music as opposed to the lyrics, thats where my enjoyment comes from, also figuring out guitar riffs and solos is still fun, I cannot crack the solo from Tornado of Souls, Marty Friedman must have an extra finger!!

Like many here, I listen to a wide variety of music. Since I work (indirectly) in music publishing, I'm always reading about new musical acts, and try to listen to as many as I can, to stay current.
I grew up with classic rock, and that remains a primary love. But on my iPod, which is normally set to shuffle by song, you'll find jazz, blues, trip-hop and trance, contemporary folk and world music, a little classical, a little country, and a few obscurities like Gregorian chant, or centuries-old Greek folk songs. I've got fifth-row seats for Rufus Wainwright when he plays here in two weeks, and am also planning to score tickets to see Alabama Shakes in October.
If that weren't enough, I got a wild notion at the grand old age of 54, bought an acoustic guitar, and am trying to learn to play the damn thing. So, if you can't tell by now, I'm crazy about music. Or maybe I'm just plain crazy.

All sorts of stuff, ranging from metal to punk to pop to ambient to techno to indie to rock to house to etc etc
My real passion is electronic dance music, though. I've done some DJing in the past, and still dabble a bit at home (although it's difficult to blast it out when you have two kids sleeping upstairs and a wife trying to watch TV in the next room!). I've recently started to do my own remixes of techno and trance tracks, which is a fun thing to do, and can be done easily with headphones so I'm not disturbing anyone else in the house.
