    In the beginning...

I've finally managed to scrape together some time to post an introduction, Apologies for the delay but working 14 hour days 6 days a week doesn't afford me a great deal of time to actually live.

Anyway, I'm Rauri/Rory/Red (take your pick, I reply to all along with most insults thrown in my direction), I'm 26 and from the UK, I work a soul crushing office job in Leeds and am a freelance artist that is training very slowly to tattoo.
I switched to Snus from a 40 or so a day Cigarette habit around 4 weeks ago after a trip to visit my now girlfriend who lives in Norway and is a Snus user herself.

Thus far I have been using up a stock pile of Lab Series Extra Strong portions and Catch white Eucalyptus that I brought back with me and I'm pleased to say that I haven't once thought about going back to the evil cigarettes once in that time. As long as I can last through til August 17th when I'm heading back to Norway on what I have left and the small orders from Northerner and PP that I'm waiting on then I have no intentions of smoking again.

I found this forum a couple of weeks ago whilst looking for a way to actually get hold of more Snus in the UK and so far everyone I've had any interactions with has been more than friendly so thanks for that.

I am still looking for a little help with ordering in to the UK with regards to tobacco duty and the like and also if anyone could fill me in with some info from experience of how much I can bring back duty free into the UK as I've found a few different answers online, then that would be great.

    Thanks for reading.

You cannot bring back any duty free tobacco from another EU country to an EU country. You can only bring back duty free tobacco if you travel outside of the EU.

Regarding online tobacco sales. Due to recent events the authorities are really enforcing the EU snus ban and as such no Snus companies will ship snus from within the EU to another EU company. You can get a few snus brands and many american brands from the Northerner as they will ship the tobacco from outside of the EU.

By far the best way to get snus if you live in the UK is to fly to Sweden via Ryan Air and bring back a case full of snus. Obviously this take more time and requires effort but you do not have to do it that often. I am still using some of the snus I got over a year ago from Sweden. On the UK customs website they recommend about 3kg as a limit for loose tobacco. This refers to hand rolling tobacco but I use that as a guide. technically there is no limit however if you get stopped by customs you will have to show him that it is all for personal use.

Flying isn't a problem as I will be visiting Norway regularly so I assume I can just buy a bulk in the Oslo airport tax free and stick it in a case to come back with me as checked luggage? Sorry I am confusing tax and duty, am I right that duty has already been paid on this when I bought it in Norway so there would be nothing to pay when I return to the UK?
Please forgive my ignorance, I've never bothered to bring any tobacco or alcohol back to the UK. Thanks for your help.
