Trying to switch from Camel Snus Frost to Swedish

Hi, I am brand new to this forum, but am no stranger to snus. I have been doing it for over 2.5 years now and have only been using Camel Snus Frost. I have tried some types of Swedish snus, but I found out that it is much different and doesn't have that sweet taste that Camel provides. I have mainly been concerned about the health issue of using Camel since I am using a little over 1.5 cans per day and double barreling each time. (There might be 10-15 minutes of the day that I am not "snusing") Nonetheless, I have read from a lot of sites and forums that Swedish is much better for you and I was trying to figure out if there is a Swedish made snus that taste just like or similar to Camel snus frost. I would also like to curb my habit and I feel that with a little more nicotine kick, I would be able to slow it down a bit. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Hi welcome to Snuson. You should try Jakobsson's mint, melon or Wintergreen if you want a swedish one that is sweet and traditionally swedish. You won't find a swedish one that is sweet like that camel stuff, its not how they do things. Once you make the switch to swedish you won't go back, I can highly recommend the melon. They are also stronger than camel so you won't be using two portions at once. The strong portions are about 14mg of nic which is enough, the normal are 8mg.

Hey, welcome. I have never tried Camel snus but I would suggest Thunder Frosted if "frosty" is your thing. It's a good, strong snus. Compared to camel I think it's really strong, but give it a try. Also keep an eye out for Odens Cold Portion, maybe you can already get that online I'm not sure. It's a new one. Should be great.

Forgot about Oden's Cold! As its Oden's it will be amazing, it tastes like Wrigglys spearmint gum

General Mint might be worth trying.

          It's a good dessert snus.

Thanks for the replies! We have a local tobacco store that sells authentic Swedish snus, so I'm going to stop by there on my way home from work and see if they have any of the suggested brands. I'm really looking forward to getting into Swedish. The only part that is going to be difficult is the convenience of stopping by a circle k and getting it. But I think I can live with that. Thanks for the tips guys!

If you do wind up ordering some online, I'd recommend Thunder's Cool Mint. I'm not much for mint snus, but I think that will be more up your alley than the Thunder Frosted. Also, Jakobsson's Ice Fruit is a big newbie fav. I would also recommend General Mint.

I know it is probably statistically probable that someone would actually prefer Camel snus, but using only Camel for 2.5 yrs would seem like cruel and unusual punishment to 99% of snus users. Good luck.

I only have experience with General (which I'm hoping to change sometime in the future), but from the General line, I would think that Mint would definitely be the way to go.

Thx man, that was what I was thinking too. When I first tried Thunder Frosted, I was surprised at how it could taste like mint without being sweet. While I don't plan on ordering Cool Mint anytime in the future, it sounds like what kane4lsu is looking for.

It was designed with the US market in mind, since apparently they are all sugar junkies, heard that in an interview with someone from V2. Its the sweetest mint one I have ever tried but still good.
