Loving snus so far!

Hi all! First post after trying some Snus. I've been smoking menthol cigs since I was 14 years old...19 years! I just had a kid and have to kick the habit for his sake, and mine. 4 days so far. I bought some Thunder Frosted ES, Thunder Raw, General Extra, Thunder Coola and Thunder Berry. Everyone I've tried so far I liked with the Thunder Frosted being my favorite. Thunder Raw actually gives me less of a kick, weird huh? Thunder Berry and Coola are my least favorite.

I love beer, in particular a good IPA or DIPA. Any suggestions on a good pairing with beer?

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and glad to be part of the snus community!

I think that snus with burgamont goes well with IPA's. The burgamont and the hops go well together. General original portion and General strong are my personal favorite. It seems like you like stronger snus so I would give Skruf Strong or Skruf Xtra Strong a try.

Thanks. I'd never heard of burgamont. I'll try out one of my General extras with with my Founders Centennial IPA tonight! Skruf Xtra Strong is on my list for my next order for sure. Thanks for the tips!

Welcome. I love beer too, and those styles in particular. I think Olde Ving (and Gotlands Gul RIP) goes great with IPAs. I prefer straight tobacco flavor with beer though, which is one reason Odens Original Extra Stark is my favorite. The new Odens Original is good too, as is Extreme. Nothing worse than having some nice beers to drink and nothing but crappy candy flavored snus to use it with! Anyway welcome, and have fun discovering what you like.

Oops, my bad. That's what I get for posting at 2 in the morning. Like Skell said, Bergamot is what provides that citrus flavor in some Snus.

Of the strong snus, you have not lived until trying Oden's Extreme. I've been on an Oden's kick for a while, but srsly it tastes amazing and it is the strongest.

Ha! I googled it and google politely corrected you ;-)

Just poured my second founders IPA from the keg and was in desperate need of a smoke so I cracked open my can of General Extra Strong portion. Yum! This Swedish snus stuff is doing a good job of keeping the cravings to a minimal...even with beer which has always been my downfall.
Now to convince the wifey I need to spend big bucks on shipping snus here. So far my arguments aren't working and I'm down to 3 cans. One General Extra, Thunder Raw and Thunder Berry...
