Another newbie! - England

Hello guys!

Im Matt and new to snusing. Iv tried it once before and loved the taste and nic hit but have never really looked into it until now.

Im thinking of placing an order with northerner tomorrow for a few different types of snus but I have a few querys about them delivering to the uk. How long does it take roughly? And do I have to sign for the delivery?

Im sure you all know how annoying it is coming home after a hard day at work to find that little slip by your door saying you've missed it. Also, the collection depos around my area are far away and I dont own a car!

As regards Northerner, they have been going through changes and orders have been delayed. They say that much themselves. But your order WILL arrive, they're not scammers. Dependant on how experienced you are with snus (do you know what strength you want to use? Will you be trying loose snus?) I'd place an order for quite a few different types and flavours. If you are quitting smoking, some sterks (strong portions) might be the order of the day, to kill the cravings.

How long does it take to arrive from the Northerner? I had a package from the 6th October arrive only last week. But Skell18, another member, has had all his orders arrive within a couple of weeks. I would expect things to be improved now anyway.

You don't need to sign for orders, as far as I'm aware, unless they are V2 (Danish snus) - which may be sent UPS if selected (??). Maybe someone can clarify this. Most snuses, such as Swedish Match, Skruf, Jakobsons etc, are sent from the US, and will be posted to you via Royal Mail.

One final piece of advice from me. Try Oden's too - good snus, fast shipping (days instead of weeks) and very reasonably priced. I use both companies :-)

Aaah goodie! Nice to see a few people from good old blighty on here! I know that im going for the medium to strong strength, im using it to get off smoking too. Im only on 5 rollies a day now though (cutters choice) so this should help me over. Im not looking to quit nicotine use though, I just love tobacco in a whole! Im going to purchase one tin of loose just to try but I do think that the portioned might be more managable for me as a beginner, makes sense right? Iv looked into the flavours and the berry flavours appeal to me quite some bit, things like skruf tranbar and the likes. Also going to try a coke flavoured loose snus, dont remember the brand.

Iv heard mixed things about northerner, but im not to bothered about delivery times really. Just as long as I dont have to sign for them, signing for parcles is my pet hate, or rather finding the "you werent in" slip in the letter box!!

What is this V2 snus you are on about?

Looks like they've got a nice selection. I didnt think they would be allowed to ship in the EU? Or are they based in america?

Only GN Tobacco sends by UPS now, everything else is via normal RM Airmail (no signature required).

Both Northerner and snus.de do V2 snus if you fancy that. From either the snus is Danish and sent from Denmark.

V2 is the manufacturer of Thunder and Offroad brands of Swedish snus. They are based in Silkeborg Denmark. Thunder Coola is the cola flavored snus you're talking about, I believe, and it's rather good! Tastes pretty close to Coke!

you're not alone - there's a healthy number of english participants here all snusing like there's no tomorrow! The advice is right regarding Northerner - you will get what you order although the last order I placed all arrived well past it's freshest due to the length of time it took to get here. I would certainly look in to trying an order from Odens too - some great snus at great prices.

It's not as easy to get snus here as it was a year or two ago - but it's not impossible yet! And we try to look after eachother here if there are disasters on the ordering front ... it's so much better snusing than smoking - it sometimes feels like a support group here :-)

I cant wait to get cigarette free! I hate smelling of it, having a fag ash breath and not being to breathe properly when I wake up. Its horrible. I dont think rollies help either, I heard that Cutters Choice contains around 15mg of tar and 1.4mg of nic per average roll up so im not doing myself any favours really. Cant wait to sample a range of snuses as well

I pretty much only use Skruf Stark portions now with a bit of los Skruf Stark. I ended up going to Stockholm airport to get a 6 month supply and then flying straight back. Worked out about the same prices as Snus.de
