Strongest mini mint?

I find it hard to believe that a general mini 15mg of nic per gram, when its know to be 8mg, so you're actually getting 4mg with those minis. The canadian labeling system is bizzare!

Anywho the thunder will be your best bet unless you want to move up to normal sized protions, then your options get better. There is also catch pure mint which is a long mini (i think) portion, but most of the catch are either minis or long portions so they should suit your needs

thanks for the reply! but i'm confused - why do you say they're 4mg each? does that mean my classic whites are 8mg each as well, not 17?

unless there's something wrong with my math... 0.5g of 15mg/g is 7.5mg of nicotine in the mini's?

i really want to try out the thunder frosted mini's, but worried about the tax man after reading all the threads about shipping to canada from buysnus. probably still would be cheaper though, i'm getting general for around $12 a can.

As far as I know, every original general classic portion that is not strong or extra strong has 8mg of nic per gram. I don't know if the canadian general is different but from what I have read its just general classic so would be 8mg, the minty ones are just general mint so the minis will be 4mg nic, its the same with dip, your labels list the nic per gram at about 21mg which from all the studies I have read is quite far off the mark, copenhagen is about 12mg per gram I think. General Extra Strong is on 15mg of nic so the 17mg IMO is wrong, don't know how the government tests or wants the conetns shown though as I know your cigarette packs show readings for nic from 1.2mg up to 3mg for the same brand.

Thats prob why you're not getting as much nic satisfaction from the minis as you would like, put two in (one each side) and see if that changes things. I can't comment on the canadian customs thing but from what members say it seems to be about a 50/50 chanceof getting stung, I know most sites send them in 5 can packages and break up the orders to minimise the chance of getting stopped but you may be better asking one of the canadian members about it.

Welcome to snuson, K3156. Thunder Frosted minis would be the strongest minis. Frosted also comes in Longer+ size which is the width of a mini but the length of a regular portion. They are 12mg nicotine and are pretty discreet.

I recall the General minis here satisfying the nic cravings so I think they are more than 4mg but don't know if they are as much as 7.5.

Skell18 has it right as far as Customs and packaging goes. I have had about a 50% success rate as far as packages getting caught but I think it can vary by province/region. I've had a higher percentage of packages caught since around Christmas time so either they are cracking down or else I am on a shit list. I've figured my cost per can to be around $8-$9, so still cheaper than retail here and you have a huge variety to choose from. Stick with the mail and avoid UPS as you are almost guaranteed to have a large bill for duty.

Classic White's are traditionally 8 mg/g of nicotine whereas minis are traditionally 4 mg/g of nicotine.

In the US the strongest mini is Catch White Strong Peppermint Mini Portion 12mg/g...It once was the Thunder mini at 8mg/g, however SM also released the Catch Collection MADISON AVENUE Rich Mint which is 8mg/g running neck to neck with the Thunder mini....I am unsure what you can and cannot acquire, but if you can get your hands on the Catch White Strong Peppermint mini, that is the strongest AFAIK.

If I'm not mistaken, because they are minis that would make the Catch White Strong 6mg/portion and Madison Avenue 4mg/portion. Thunder Frosted is 16mg/g so 8mg nicotine for the mini.

No, the Catch White Strong would be 12 mg/g, the Madison Avenue is 8 mg/g. Thunder Frosted would be 16 mg/g.

Nicotine usage is traditionally viewed in mg/g as far as content goes. No need to divide in half. Just say, "12 mg/g".

The OP was looking for the strongest mini. Duff's suggestion was that catch white strong (12mg/g) or madison ave (8mg/g) minis are stronger or equal to the Thunder minis in strength.

It's more technical than that though - you also have to take into account free/usable nicotine. Some minis are going to "feel" like more because the free nicotine level is higher. Camel "SNUS" is supposedly around 8 mg/g as well, but the free nicotine level in Camel "SNUS" is much lower.

Cool, I did not know that. I always figured you were only getting half the nic for minis so I haven't bothered ordering any. I didn't know they messed with the pH or whatever they have to do up the free nicotine. So I guess there is no easy answer for OP, or does one mini portion stand above the rest as far as strength goes?

V2 and Swedish Match products usually carry more free nicotine than others. V2 is usually the highest when it comes to free nicotine levels though - I feel a much stronger kick from V2 products than I do from any other companies snus products. Swedish Match is usually right behind V2 as far as free nicotine levels go.
